Holjberg tends to slow the game down, let's see how Ange plays him.

Yes it is, he takes too many touches then passes sideways and backwards, which restricts all attacking urgency

He will keep the ball better than Gil. It's the right call.

I understand wanting to reward a good performance but I feel like when you think about why Højbjerg made a difference against city (adding another player to build up to help deal with west ham's press) and then think about how west ham are gonna play, I'm a bit concerned he's gonna end up playing as a poorly equipped 10 for most of the game

He takes way less touches than Bissouma and typically passes with longer distance. I'm not saying he is better, I'm just saying its a poor criticism.

As opposed to what? The brilliance of Gil going missing against Coufal?

Got to stick with Ange and get him who he wants and get rid of who he wants.

Levy though innit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will back him. He has no choice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The same was said about Conte, and Mourinho before him, Levy won`t be changing for anyone
----------------------------------------------------------------------
good reminder Billy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Those two wanted ready made class players. Ange is more pragmatic and wants players on the upward curve. More to Levy's liking. He will be backed.

if we're happy to assume that the game ends up being us dominating possession and penning west ham in (if this isn't the case then hobby is the right choice) , I'd rather have Bryan as a part of the front 5 then Hobby.

bit concerned it'll be like skipp's performance against Brentford from the season opener, where the tactical set ups of both sides ends up with a defensive midfielder spending large spells on the last line of the oppo defence

I reckon Bissouma will be in the front 5 as the other 8 if thats worth anything.

I don't think Gil is particularly good, I don't mind seeing PEH (who is way better in the box anyway than Skipp, day and night really)

Raining cats and dogs.....

This will suit Ange as its like a monsoon out there

posted on 7/12/23

Rather Gil came on against leggy players in the 70th min say. Him dropping his shoulder will be more effective later on than from the start.

Having PEH will hopefully nulify any counter attacks which we know is West Ham's way.

Seeing Romero lining up with the team will be massive boost, specially tonight

posted on 7/12/23

Yep, West Ham have alot of height in their side. Can't be giving away to many corners or free kicks. Another reason to start PEH over Gil. Romero will have to win a lot in the air.

Romero ….. please behave yourself tonight.

I think with PEH he appears limited in what can and can’t do as a midfielder. He too old now to change so we just deploy him with function in midfield he’s good at. I’m still not sure what that is. He was very good at pointing when playing for Conte.

Good line up. Pretty much gone as strong as we can which does mean there's no room for Gil to start.
