As much as I don’t rate Dier. I still think Ange should consider playing him in front of the back four, that’s his best position in my opinion and was successful under poch. Allowing Sarr, PEH to press and play further up the pitch. PEH is better when further forward too.

Bentancur’s return was the only glimmer of hope - I thought he might not come back the same, but against Villa he looked back at it.
When he went, I gave up on any achievement this season. Just trying to enjoy the football.

Wasn’t there something about the Dele Ali deal in it too as they owe/owed us money and still do. Read a snippet this morning Everton turned down Levy’s offer to renegotiate the deal this week. This was to help Everton out in their predicament…. No doubt benefits levy too.

He's been a big flop but maybe not quite that bad. Ndombele cost more and was supposed to be Poch's key signing to help get us back on track whereas I always felt Richy was just an expensive squad player when we bought him.

Not sure £20mil (or was it 30?) for an emerging talent (supposedly) like Gil is a criminally bad as buying a clearly average striker that doesn’t really score goals.

Not sure Veliz is going to get a start. My feeling is if Son isn't playing he'll just start Richy up front with Johnson and Kulu out wide, or Gil over Johnson given BJ's last performance.
Veliz should really have got a bit more time on the pitch than he's been given. Would be a big game to suddenly throw him into.

Yeah get that and agree Ricky will start up top and it’s time for him to start living up the hype he’s had enough chances now. Veliz defo needs minutes on the pitch. Hopefully he will get some game time today.

Richy could play and could have a good game but I would not trust any sort of consistent form to develop. He'd probably start the next game and be poor. This is the trouble with squad players. They can be useful to fill in when others aren't available and sometimes play well but you don't want to have to start them too much knowing they won't sustain their good performances for that long. Johnson might well fall in that bracket too. IMO Richarlison will never be anything more than a squad player.

Wasn’t there something about the Dele Ali deal in it too as they owe/owed us money and still do. Read a snippet this morning Everton turned down Levy’s offer to renegotiate the deal this week. This was to help Everton out in their predicament…. No doubt benefits levy too.

They owe us £10m on certain appearances and levy wanted to knock it down to £8m I think.
Should just tell them to drop the add ons on Richy deal and we’ll drop the dele money so he can get on with playing with nothing over his head.
I doubt Richy is hitting any ad ons though
