We have to trust the process. Ange was never going to be able to change our style over night without any hiccups. Top 4 or not, we'll have to wait and see what he does next season. Hopefully it will be more improvement, if it isn't then Ange will be on borrowed time.

I wouldn't say that. If we miss out on CL it might encourage Levy just to splash more cash to get it next season. If the revenues are much better then we can afford to spend more. Doubt we'll spend as much as last summer though.

There’s also the fact that because we’re not guaranteed CL qualifiers year on year, Levy won’t splash the cash anyway. You need to be consistent qualifiers to feel safe enough to truly splash the cash because if your revenue dips the following year, you’ve got players bought for funds and wages the club will now struggle to afford.

How much does top 4 mean to Levy now that we have the new stadium and the revenues coming in from that? Of course he would want it, but perhaps it's not as integral as it once was to him.

Least the villa game this weekend is a win win

We’ve been poor by and large away from home this season. Villa the only decent side we’ve beaten

The fact that Villa, a team of individuals nowhere near as talented as ours are ahead of us whilst playing European football, is pretty damning. But I guess it’s his first season so 5th is more than we expected.

CL is worth roughly £50m depending on how far you progress. That's 10% of revenue. Buys you one player.
