Not bad but it could still go either way

Is this bad luck or a consequence of training methods? Ange can shake his head all he wants but isn't this just what happens when we play the way we do with a thin squad?

I’m convinced modern players train too hard. Too much strain on the body.
Years ago they played just as many games but not this level of injuries

They didn't play just as many games years ago

Reggie did well at Brentford and united to an extent. At least he is a left back. Massive blow to lose udogie. You knew he'd be next to join the hamstring club. He just doesn't stop running.

He had a lot of hamstring injuries at the start at Celtic too so I do think it plays a part. Biggest problem is not having the numbers to rest players who are heading into the red.

The games so much faster than it was years ago. That will have a major factor in injuries. …. Specifically hammies.

No nations league, one team in the European Cup, one team in the UEFA cup, which were knockouts rather than a group stage. Fewer international friendlies.

Yeah maybe mid table sides played less but the top sides they played more games if anything as the league was bigger too, some players played 60 games or more plus internationals etc

Plus the strain of playing such a high line means a swift change of direction and a sprint back. As much as other posters might mock, I think it plays a part.
