The games so much faster than it was years ago. That will have a major factor in injuries. …. Specifically hammies.

Plus the strain of playing such a high line means a swift change of direction and a sprint back. As much as other posters might mock, I think it plays a part.

I’m convinced modern players train too hard. Too much strain on the body.
Years ago they played just as many games but not this level of injuries

No nations league, one team in the European Cup, one team in the UEFA cup, which were knockouts rather than a group stage. Fewer international friendlies.

Nations League have replaced friendlies, Uefa Cup had a few teams in it (but was knock out), so the increase in Europe is the only valid argument, but most teams rotate reserves in Europe group games (look at us) but not in the Champs League. So the increase is for the top four who have the biggest squads and the most money.

If we had a fit squad no problem but we don't. They have been playing every 3 days since the end of Nov.

Dragu is so bad on the ball. Gives it away so often. He can ping it long when not pressured but any sort of or ss and he rushes his pass.

Terrible atmosphere in the ground today, real uncertainty.
