Don, well I don't think there's been any doubt for me that our best defender is Vertonghen for a start, and we'd be better offer with him playing regularly at the back.

As for the others, apart from maybe Naughton who isn't too bad, they've had poor seasons yes.

In their defence, if you'll excuse the pun, the personnel has got switched around a lot and that won't help. We need some stability now by keeping these defenders who are playing well time together on the same pitch.
