how are you judging what is average when no other teams have played yet this season?
Such a missed opportunity Utd were shocking.
Defensively vastly improved, was knocking the ball around nicely for the most part, just those sloppy mistakes in midfield spoiling it. Well I think most of us didn't expect to come back with anything but all were happy with a decent performance. Definitely and improvement on last season. Bentaleb had a bit of an off day but thought Dier did well in midfield considering.

Little goal threat, or fast link up between the mid and attack...
However, we restricted them to 1 (one) shot on target.
If anything we looked fairly solid in defence.

No that was from Young when Vorm saved
Spurs will climb of the bottom of the table as the goals go in this afternoon. This will be our low point at 2.40 Saturday 8th August. All onwards and upwards from here.

At times especially in the 2nd half it looked like we just didnt want to get the ball forward.
We did well last 10 mins but it was too late.
Hopefully by the next game we will have a striker on the bench .
Hard to read too much into the game. Our defence may have looked better, but United looked poorer.

yeah they were there for the taking. eriksen should have scored.
man u away is the kind of game you need to take the lead in. once they scored and the crowd was up then the ref starts giving them every 50 50 and its hard to build any momentum.
We made loads of tackles far up the field of the man u defenders which we should have made count
Defence looked pretty solid to be fair, just the final ball lacking in the final third. I can live with today's effort though. Not the end of the world. Plenty of good stuff to come this season.
Eriksen should have scored when he lobbed that goalie .
Considering the money Utd have spent it didn't show today. Play like that against the top 4 and they won't be winning many. Still time for both teams to settle into some sort of form though. Thought Depay was quiet.
Walker is the top scorer in the prem.

Yes, Utd seemed happy with 1 nil in the 2nd half yet it took us an eternity to put any pressure on them.
Walker played very very well. Underrated and unlucky today
Did Bentaleb swap shirts at the end of the match? Hope so, as it was about time he started wearing a Spurs shirt.
