Scored the most goals yet I'd say we aren't very clinical

We must be creating shiet loads more than everyone else

Think we've got most shots and shots on target this season than anymore else

OK performance, we never really got out of second gear, missed a chance to rack up the goal difference though

We were lucky we didn't concede in the second half. They had the better chances.

It was like we felt the game was won by that point so didn't search for a third as much.

Fair play to Villa, thought they would have capitulated once we got the 2nd.

we were very lucky in the last 15 minutes they missed 2 sitters cos we thought it was job done.

We showed exactly the same attitude when we played them at WHL this season

We appeared to sit back on 70 or so minutes. We haven't done that for a while and hopefully, it will be a good reminder that the game is 90 plus minutes long. Woodwork saved a few blushes.

To be honest had they have scored I think we would have applied ourselves again but its still not a good habit to get into.

A similar attitude cost pool the title against Palace a couple of years back when they were 3-1 up

I'm sure they would Grand but we haven't got a 29 positive GD (what Spurs, surely not!) for a reason. We have to play 90+ minutes in every game now until the end of the season. God forbid, it looked like they wanted to save energy for Thursday.....

Watching the Leicester game... how bad is Townsend? Blows my mind that some people think he's a better footballer than Lamela

to be fair Analog, only a certain Chicken has this warped view that Townsend is better than Lamela. He really was awful tonight. One or 2 step overs and still can't control a ball properly.

Townsend was awful last night. hes one of the most predictable players I have ever seen.

he has good flashes but Newcastle is about his level (relegation battling prem side)

Chronic. Made me realise how glad I am we got rid of him. Lamela might not be perfect by all means and there are attributes to his game that need improving but he is by far a better and more effective player than Townsend ever will be. Let's be honest it comes from a poster that said tim Sherwood could follow in the foot steps of brian clough so I don't take to much of what chicken says seriously

only a fool would suggest that townsend is a better player than lamela as things stand.
