Hengy De Boer would be good but I fear the inexperience of the prem could be a problem which scares me.

Plus Dutch league is pants.

Hengy De Boer sounds like a legend to me

Hengy De Boer

Van Gaal is one of these that may work or may go t1.ts up. 50/50 chance imo.

Seriously though, I don't follow Ajax.. have they really been that good?

I'd like Laudrup but not convinced he'd be given the time he'd need.. a ready made option like Van Gaal seems like the sensible option to me given our trigger happy chairman.

Bales not too sure myself. I guess we have the Vertonghen and Eriksen links who have worked with De Boer.

Any manager coming from a foreign league will need time, they may come in and start off flying but there will always be that rocky period just around the corner whether it be 2 months into the job or 2 seasons. In this rocky period is when we need to give our man time and not get trigger happy or the Levy bust cycle will just continue and progress will never be made.

Been said many times on here, Van Gaal would end up falling out with the press, despite being a great manager.
De Boer has become flavor of the month again after this article, which is not to say I wouldn't want him at Spurs, but just think post WC how many decent managers will be floating about

Hadn't read that.. maybe not such a good idea then after AVB

I'd take Capello! His club records speak for themselves!

I want a coach you'd we'd keep 4/5 years + and actually support a long term plan

Not gonna happen under Levy Henge mate. Hasn't Redknapp been our longest reigning manager this side of 2000?
Loving how all the 'legends of the prem era' are coming back in coaching/managerial roles atm. Bergkamp potentially at Swansea, Sherwood at Spurs, Solskjaer at Cardiff.
If Ginola joins we'd have him, Ferdinand, Sherwood and Freund all as staff
Expecting Christian Zieger, Justin Edinburgh and Freddy Kanouté to come in over the summer as staff also

I reckon Bergkamp will make it as a good manager again may need time though.

Really like what Ginola has to say in that article, he makes a lot of sense about Townsend.

I also saw something this morning about Frank de Boer saying he'd like to manage us in the future. Doing very well at Ajax, but it's not really much of an indication about how he would get on over here

I like Ginola on BT, he talks a lot of sense.. McManaman and Hargreaves struggle to get a sentence out
