4321 - Lamela dropped on Rodri with eriksen floating around. Big performance for Kane to fight against two Cbs

I would see it slightly different. Lamela having no joy at all in that position, Eriksen hiding because its far too much effort for him to match them and Kane having a hell of a tough afternoon with very few chances for his efforts

Exactly no support for Kane, no pace to get in amongst the defence, gonna spend long periods sitting deep, no outball

I like the fact that Poch has finally picked an unchanged defence, and has made as little change as possible to the starting XI.

He needs to come out and clarify the situation. Is he taking us for fools saying there is no issue. As if we suddenly leave out our best defender.

These two full backs need to be played constantly with he exeption of smart rotation and cuo games.

Look, this Verts thing is a facking joke. If Sanchez had been outstanding last week then maybe, but he was poor, got bullied all day. To leave him on the bench mean that stubborn poch is more interested in making a point than getting points. Poor poor decision from poch, in my opinion, and one we will pay for.

Isn't Vert meant to be lacking fitness and that's why he's not playing? In which case you can understand why Poch isn't playing him.

Perhaps he's been hanging around with Hazard too much pre-season.

Sanchez didn`t get bullied all day at all. He had one tussle with a Villa forward, and apart from that did everything else he was supposed to do.

Sanchez is the future anyway, the Verts, Toby partnership is on its last legs now.

I’d rather verts play but something is giving Poch the hump

I don't think we're going to avoid conceding no matter who we play in the defence. It's our front players we need to rely on most, that's why I wanted Lucas to start cause he's the bigger threat than Lamela.

Sanchez will play thr majority of the season and will really show us what we can look forward to next season with possibly being without 2 of the best CBs weve ever had both going in the same window.

I have a feeling that this game will slowly raise my blood pressure

I have to say I am fairly hopeful of getting something from this game, if the team don`t feck up early doors.

Guess the plan is to keep it tight and look to get them on the break second half with Moura.

Why would he have to clarify?

He’s the one that gets paid to make these decisions and he’s the one that has to put up with the consequences.
