Dele and Aurier I have no problem with, but a combination of Winks and Dier in midfield is as bad as it can get. Obviously Jose is thinking of midweek here.

Winks and Dier is one horrendous combination in midfield. It never works. So I am very disappointed with Jose on this one.

I expect this will change at half-time though.

Lo celso has to play, problem is I think he hasnt been back in training long but then hes on the bench.

Ndombele fitness is shocking. Would have started Gedson at least. Got that oaf dier playing and 4 Cms on the bench asking for him to get pulled off at HT

Appalling line up. Spurs will be 2 down by half time. Winks and Dier is championship level midfield.

Ndombele is a complete waste of money, he needs replacing next season.

If Drinkwater gets the better of Dier surely it will be the end of him? Although I would have thought his consistently awful performances would have spelled the end of him already.

I really don't know why we bother signing new players !!!! Youd think we were reigning league and CL champions with these fracking wasters... Dier and Winks are shlt and the whole facking world knows it .... Villa must be delighted.... que the inevitable half time subs with us 2-0 down

If lo celso can make the bench he has to start. He'll be on second half we we are struggling

This is a huge test as we need to win this really to keep the pressure up on Chelsea

Don't see why Ndombele wouldn't start. He can rest him v Leipzig when lo Celso is fit. Our midfield never works when neither of them play.

Winks I don’t have a problem with. Who is beside him makes all the difference though. Dier needs to go before Lamela..

And surely Gedson is better than Dier?! I have nothing against Dier but he is finished at this level. Should only play for us in a crisis situation.

on the bright side look at the subs bench

Not the line up I wanted. I wanted us to put a marker down with an impressive win. This looks like safety first but we need to keep them out otherwise the solid CM is pointless.

If you think we have 4 attackers and a very advanced Aurier the solid CM makes sense, is very Jose. Its just that Dier is so poor and he and Winks have never formed a decent combo.
