If Jenas stays fit he would add a similar thing to what Diouf adds, good first touch and uses the ball well, very worried at the lack of games though, if he plays, he will improve us.

Jenas and Derry yes, jerome is terrible. Wouldn't want him at all

Never really rated Jenas, how he ever got near the England squad is beyond me, Jerome is a reasonable striker at this level but his career seems to be going backwards, we all know Derry and what he brings to a squad, his age will be against him.
According to the Mail Jenas is on his way, I hope to be proved wrong.

Could also be lazy journalism guys

I think if Jenas has any ambition to play for Spurs or any other premier league team again then he'd come to Leeds and put some real effort in. And if he does that, he could be a great signing.

Derry is in QPRs 25 man squad, so you can disregard him.

Jenas is in the Spurs 25 man squad too

Spurs already announced that Jenas will be going out on loan to get fitness up

With Nottingham Forest having cash, and his connection with them, surely that's a more likely move?

Hope not though, we badly need someone like him.

We've a cracking dressing room at the moment.

Last thing we need is some big time charlie on 5 times has much has anyone else (forget who's paying the wages, thats what he'll be on)

Barely played for a year.

No thanks

Beggars cant be choosy LIW

LIW what makes you think he'd be bad for the dressing room?

At the end of the day we have one fit centre midfielder in Austin. Green and Norris would be preferred over Jenas as they are our players so I see where you're coming from but both are injured.

Which leaves us with slim options. Bringing in a short term loan like Jenas would be ideal to solidify a centre midfield area until Green and Norris are back.

I for one would not be unhappy to see Jenas come down to us. I reckon he'll have something to prove and should do a job for us.

I reckon he's worth a loan.

rogan

He's always comes across has a big head.

He's going to be on miles more money than everyone else and that can cause massive problems.

He hasnt been fit for years.

when have these loans ever worked for us.

Use pugh or thompson, why we always goes to loans, I dont know.

But the dressing room know we are way short of cover and im pretty sure they wouldnt mind having a player of Jenas' quality alongside them....and lets be honest, he is quality compared to what weve been used to!

I dont know what else you can hope for, its a loan market, its all the players nobody else wants....so for a player like Jenas to be available then ill snap their hands off

remember the day you moaned about diouf.....doesn't matter who we sign you'll bloody moan how about you do your coaching badges become a multi millionaire and both own and run leeds as you see fit...

and that's not aimed at the op fed up with the negativity from some folk

Neither Pugh or Thompson are ready to hold the centre of the park against a good Cardiff City team.

I understand your hesitancy in the loan market...it hasn't been great for us in the past but perhaps that's because we've been too reliant upon it.

Warnock is only seeking it now because our 2 centre midfielders are both out for the next 4 weeks.

Jenas on a couple of months loan will help boster the team I think.

I also think the money issue is completely irrelevant. Leeds won't be picking up his pay packet...we all know that. We'll probably pay 5k a week towards his wages.

I also agree with Gelder...I'm sure the lads would welcome a player like Jenas.

Whether he brings the goods is a different matter...after all there is no written truth in the rumour as of yet.

I'd sooner Jenas than Tonge though...and I'd definitely sooner Jenas than Brown or Pugh.

when was that

I want boyd from peterborough.

Blindly saying every signing is great, shows a lack of knowledge.

I dont want us to be trying to get players fit for other clubs.

It never works for us and when will people learn

We'll end up getting Dross Townsend back and losing out on Jenas....

Then LIW will complain that we lack ambition.

Jenas gets a yes from me.

^Exactly....Tonge and Higgingbottom would be disasters, they are the loans we are used to and never work out....a former England international and young player of the year is not in that catagory, he's still only 29, a few games under his belt and he would be an asset

the 'exactly' was to Rogan's post

And yes we should be going for Boyd also....should have gone for him from the start of the summer, him going to Ipswich is disapointing

The success of a loan signing is 90% down to the manager. It's requires a lot of man management & fan expectation management. Plus it helps if you have an eye for a good signing.
Grayson couldn't make a good permanent signing if every player in the championship became available, never mind scouting the progress of youngsters or judging a crocks' effectiveness. Plus we have League 1 loans haunting us, a very tricky league to get people to step down to.
Warnock's worked well within the crushing limits that are in place and we've not seen him make any loans as yet. Judgement should be reserved.
