nuns - almost impossible to know what 11 will start. Your summary seems fair, but it could be any one of about 20 permutations.
The 1 thing for definite, is your last comment.
It will be bedlam!!!!!
i personally think it is worth getting beat by watford, birmingham, sheff wed and by then coyles position will be untenable and will have to be sacked and there will still be time for someone to come in and turn it around.this is better than plodding along maybe lucky win at home then 1 point out of 2 away games and follow a similar pattern for subsequent games and then bang mid dec we are 14th and nowhere and coyle is still in a job.
I remember people posting 'Do you want us to lose?' threads towards the end of Megson's time with us. No fan wants the team to lose, so I think most will want us to beat Watford.
Also, if we are 14th after 20 games, then Coyle will be gone!!
Nobody deep down wants their team to lose. I can see your point, Benny, but I'll bet that you won't be celebrating a loss vs Watford this weekend.
There are clearly lots of options for the starting 11. Is N'Gog fit?
I really hope Coyle plays 442. I feel a bit hypocritical saying that as I believe the reason we got relegated is because Coyle played 442 last season. I think we should be looking to win games and score goals in this league, rather than to not lose. Against 'weaker' opposition compared to the premiership, a 451 in my opinion is a negative formation.
I hope Coyle leaves Mavies out.

It a no win situation for Coyle, whatever the outcome of this game.
Lose & it will get really nasty.
Draw & it will get quite nasty.
Win like is expected of us, and it will prove nothing to the fans and will just prolong the inevitable. It's a pity he couldn't sort that defence out in a full pre-season because he's no chance of sorting it mid season.
Serious pressure will be placed on the team and coyle on Saturday. I hope they can cope with it.
After the performances provided so far by the players who started the season, you'd have to be quite annoyed not to be given a chance if you're the likes of Alonso, Pratley or Riley. You'd seriously be asking yourself how poor do my team mates have to be before I get a chance.
Bricks and benny's outlook above makes the assumption that there is no chance whatsoever of Coyle turning it round, which is a level of assumption too far for my liking at this stage.
Would you give him another 18 months largehat??

That's a ridiculous comment. LH has stated like everyone else on here what his position is!!!!

And hopefully the first signs of that appear on Saturday. Two weeks to reflect few players away requires a big impact and statement from bwfc

What would be your team selection?.Are three/four changes too many to risk? or maybe not enough?.
Think my old pal Benny has had enough, not seen him that pi$$ed off after the Forest game in the pub for a while.
Its a massive game in my opinion this one,not just in keeping Blackpool and the chicken brothers in our sights, but for the morale of the fans too.
He's just stated his position. He still thinks Coyle can turn it around, but not how long he's got to do it.
Anyway, are you his parrot CEF??
Pedantic! There must be 100 threads where we've all stated our position with regards how long we will give Coyle.
I will comment on anything I like.
P.s. Not even I will give him 18 months unless there is massive improvement.
I should hope not CEF.
We may be knocking on the door of division 4 if we give him that long.
Bricks, my position is that if we're not in contention for the top 6 by the end of October, a change will need to be made. I've probably stated that 4-5 times on this forum.
Benny is saying he hopes we lose the next 3 games because that will hasten Coyle's exit out of the door, he is making the assumption that this exit is inevitable. It isn't. You make the assumption Coyle's departure is inevitable. It isn't.
Coyle's departure will become inevitable only if his position is completely untenable. The fact is, it hasn't yet, it may do, or it may not.
Your arrogance blinds you to the fact that the people in charge, who make the decision, simply have a completely set of expectations of Coyle. You'd have sacked him a year ago - that's the proof.
If we lose against Watford, Coyle may get sacked. A home defeat to Watford hasn't been inevitable or likely in all my time as a Wanderer, so why people make the assumption Coyle is definitely going, I think it's just a bit of wishful thinking to be honest. It's a great pity Coyle never got the same level of support Megson got from you, Bricks. Perhaps you could identify with Megson better as a person somehow.
Your eighteen month comment was pathetic though, thank you for pointing this out CEF.
Nuns, I think there will be only 2 or 3 changes from the side that started vs Hull, and I am hoping Ngog will be one of them, I really am. I think changes have to be made at full back and in central midfield too mate.

Don't chirp in every time some poster a makes a comment on their opinion which is based on more rational thinking than you're own.
I don't think Coyle is capable of turning it around just as he wasn't capable of keeping us in the Prem so it's based on observation & sound judgement and the fact that I'm bored to death of my team going backwards all the time.
I've seen enough to know that Coyle is a dud and a lost cause.
Your use of the word 'pathetic' is just as pathetic as your digs at any poster whose opinion is that Coyle is not good enough to be Boltons' manager btw.
Really pathetic actually.

Bricks, are you making a late bid for the role of Admin3?
Also, why are you not giving OC the same treatment you gave Megson? I.e. As incumbent manager, your support until someone else is appointed???
I am interested in what has changed!!
Simple really CEF.
Megson could have fekked us up for nothing but we paid 5 million quid for Coyle to really fekk us up!!
I expected far more.
Do you and largehat mention Megson so much in your defence of Coyle because you are in denial of the fact that it it was a 5 million quid mistake??
If so, don't worry about. I wont mention it again and it's Gartside's problem to explain to Eddie why he blew his 5 mil on zilch
