Gerrard's Finished

I'm afraid to say that is bs. You know nothing. He has kept that team ticking over all night. Was is a joke is Frank Lampard picking up man of the match just for putting a penalty away. What a joke, a bit like this article.

A few months ago he was England's best player in the Euros and he still people are on his case. The manager decides to play no DM so you can't expect Gerrard to be everywhere.

Yawn....obvious and lazy young man...try harder.

stevie G wouldn't be lonely if he was still on the pitch, he was lucky not to get sent off for the elbow. He's just a liability in an england shirt now.

Gerrard has been one of the better players.

Silly tackle to get a red.

Lampard has been invisible for 90 mins and taken a good penalty.

Glen Johnson Englands best player as he has been for most of the this year.

Milner has had a decent game too.

Don't agree milner was good righteous, I felt he offered nothing going.forward. Shame Walcott was injured. Or maybe since he played two overrated players, he should have took a chance with sterling. He would have done far better.

Milner what does he do exactly? can't remember the last time i saw so much fuss over such a decisively average player

i did wonder if that would be Gerrard's last performance in an England shirt after he was sent off

Good to see Gerrard reinventing himself as a DM. He knocked it round nicely and was composed. Not sure what the OP is blathering on about.

^ please elaborate? Why because he got sent off? Why would that mean he was finished? Sure that is his first red in an England shirt. Rooney has quadruple that and he still manages to play.

Would love nothing more than for Gerrard to finish international football. If people think the likes of the ox, Milner and cleverly are better players then it's a sad day for English football.
Loved how woy called sterling up and them basically told him to not get too big for his boots! Why call a 17 year old up in the first place woy you massive pleb!

Just watching Woy's interview and he said he was pweased we kept pwobing. Thought I would just add that. Comedy gold.

Milner comments are unfair ... he adds a lot to the team.

He is a defensive player yes but he puts the opposition under pressure giving us the ball back.

He drives hard and holds his own, and he can pass the ball under pressure with a cool head.

So minus the tika taka technical ability his graft makes him 10x the player Lampard is in an England shirt

who said comedy was finished!

Dalglish's Double Fist Pump (U6580)

and yet Lampard still outshone Milner and Stevie tonight

^ not sure what game you were watching. Did you watch the Moldova game again or something?

posted on 11/9/12

oh come on, Lampard and Johnson were the only ones who looked vaguely threatening before Welbeck and Sturridge came on

take away milner's work rate and what are you actually left with? he was a donkey tonight, as was Gerrard-a dismal evening for him compounded with a sending off!

Whatever you say pal.

What did gerrard finish? his cup of tea? A nice piece of fish or an extensive cheeseboard....what?

posted on 11/9/12

Funny that, he got a standing ovation when he went off and before that the announcer announced him as Man of the Match before quickly changing it to Lampard when he went off.

I can't believe England fans, I really can't. It's crazy.

What a big yawn those Gerrard bashers are. I'm glad he's suspended he's well out of it.

posted on 11/9/12

dunno what match those commentators were watching if they thought Gerrard the best player on the pitch-even before his sending off!

i'll admit he outshone Cleverley though

posted on 11/9/12

But fat frank got a penalty so that's an automatic 9/10

posted on 11/9/12

Outshone?

He did nothing - didnt go forward to support Cleverley who tried his socks off.

Yet he didnt sit deep if Gerrard went forward - in fact he didnt sit deep at all. Neither here nor there.

Pointless player - Useful maybe in a penalty shoot out.

and WTF is hodgson doing, Gerrard Lampard???? Really??

This has been done before and didnt work - we need to move on. Our young players have fire in their bellies and are technically sound.
