I like Mad Men, although nothing does happen!
Breaking Bad and The Wire are the best (don't listen to John, its all good).
Dexter is good fun. As is entourage. I found Deadwood to be a bit stupid, the non stop swearing seemed a bit fake and excessive.
A friend of mine knows one of the women in Mad Men.
Don't ask me who though. I've never seen it.
Corporal - in total agreement with you. Breaking Bad is very good and enjoyable, but it's not a patch on The Wire. In Breaking Bad you want the anti-hero to win and he does, quelle surprise. In The Wire, you can't decide if it's the maverick cops, the low-level criminals, the big-swinging di.cks of the police department or the drug-cartel king pins who you like best, all the characters have some appeal. The Wire just outguns anything else I've ever seen. Breaking Bad took a while to get going, and a lot of the characters are just predictable. Seasons 4 and 5 have been much better, like some have said, but nothing is going to compete with Omar or when Clay Davis beats the charges in court based on nothing but his ability to bull.sh.it the jury.
problem with the Borgias is that it's the minor characters who are far more interesting-i don't quite know how you can make Cesare Borgia boring
oooohhh lex is it the fit one with all the curves......

...........................
The scripts were written based on actual documentary, and written articles from the time. By all accounts that is exactly how they used to speak.
Hippo - don't you get comedy in real life too..?
What are you watching Comedy-wise?
The 2 I've been watching recently that are really good are Archer and Community
Band Of Brothers > everything else that's ever been on telly

i think Juan was played really well actually, my problem is with a show which manages to mak Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia so bloody uninteresting
Irons is hilarious though-remember a brilliant scene where he's hissing back at Cesare "oh, what would Rome be without a good old fashioned plot"
