how can you order somebody to shake somebody elses hand?????
You either want to do it or you dont, no point in ordering him to do it.
I fear for this Sunday now, too much going on.
Last season the owners and board stayed quiet and allowed our cringe worthy defense off Suarez but they have learnt their lesson and told Suarez what is expected on Sunday.
Let's just hope the supporters behave both ends.
I wouldn't shake his hand.

I agree that it should be no big deal whether they shake hands or not. I also think there's been too much made of these latest Hillsborough findings. Yes it's good for the club, it's soiled name and that of it's fans, and it's a weight lifted from those who were fighting for the truth to be told, but why does this all prompt another load of 1 or 2 minutes silence, or applause, or flags at half mast etc.?
Very good gesture from Sunderland but I think this should be concentrated on the game nearest to the anniversary of the tragedy, not bringing it all up again at various points here and there. It's adding more focus to a forthcoming game that doesn't need it, in my opinion!
Alex Fergusons conduct has been fantastic over the last week or so.
Although he gets a tough time from our fans, i'm sure deep down they all respect him as a manager and i'd personally welcome him laying a wreath on the pitch.
Its a shame that the handshake will get pre match focus.
A wreath in front of the Kop and a cracking game will be a perfect tribute.

...and you are encouraging it.
Stop listening and encouraging the media.
Just carry on with football !!!!
Evra didn't even start the last game for United. The lad who played in his place had a stormer by all accounts and scored a goal.So I think barring injury Evra is going to be warming the bench and the handshake will not be an issue
stop this nonsense. what is proposed is good. lets finally all move forward
The media / FA don't want this to go away. Deflects attention for more serious stuff.

For flucks sake, after last weeks news, lets put things in perspective, shake hands, play the game, and beyond that, what will be, will be.
It would be far less fun if Suarez was forced to shake the liars hand.
Many offenders are made to face their victims and even make reparations; I don't see why suarez should be any different!
I would suggest after last weeks events, if either of these two players decide to draw attention to themselves by acting childishly, then for me they are no different to any moron in the crowd, who decide to trade discussing chants, or indeed, comments about the others teams fans, or past events involving both clubs.
Lets just have a game of football, and leave egos, and unwarranted hatred to one side.
