we dont create enough chances there

It's Liverpools cup final and we just can't seem to match their intensity and desire to win, also, SAF playing a four man midfield with Giggs, Scholes and Carrick against Liverpools energetic and tenacious five hasn't helped in the past either

But Arsenal and Chelsea have better midfields than Pool.
Still we are much more comfortable playing at Emirates, Stamford Bridge as opposed to Anfield.
Is the Kop such a big factor!!!

I think this time we shd set up like we have been setting up for Arsenal away.
Pool now play a vry Arsenal like(passing in front of the defense without going anywhere) game and also lack any finishing prowess upfront, we shd just sit back and hit on counter with speedy wingers. Maybe it would work this time.
Also this time there would be no Kuyt and Lucas who seem to have a blinder against us!!!

Despite us having the better team, they've always wanted it more than us when we've met at Anfield recently which is sad to say.

It's true what bruce said above, we haven't matched their intensity and their desire to win.

I know we generally lose at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea is a much better team than Liverpool.
But still i feel more comfortable when we play Chelsea at Bridge as we generally control the midfield well, its just that Chelsea's strikers were good and used to generally score(not now).

I don't expect a win there these days really, just a draw should be good and we'll batter them at OT as usual.

On a positive note, we're due one alright.

True, in recent years we have not quite been able to get to grips with the intensity with which the L'pool players have confronted us with, spurred on by their fans. Its their biggest game of the year and everyone, players, staff and fans is always right up for it. We have to try and cope with that, try to match their effort and if we can end our recent poor form there because as the league table tends to show year after year, we are a much better team.

Liverpool are due a good beating at anfield

i think both Manchester United and Arsenal will win on Sunday

RVP will score a double in a 3-1 for United

Cazorla will inspire Arsenal to a win at the Etihad 2-1

that, although they did run city ragged I still think were due a result.

How they beat us in that cup game last season I'll never no.

i genuinely think liverpool arent too far behind us in terms of a starting 11, its their squad depth thats the issue.

if liverpool had a decent right winger and a 20 goals a season striker, they'd certainly be pushing top 4.

add that to the fact its at anfield and they'll be up for it, you can see why we dont pick up too many points there.

I actually think you lot are more likely beat us this time. We're playing more open/attacking and still learning a new system. Remember Rafa didn't couldn't beat United until few years.

If we do dominate possession though we'll beat you.

I know the answer, Liverpool are always more up for it than us at Anfield.

If you think about it, then it's true.

-----------------------------------------------

The 3-3 at Stamford Bridge last season did not feel like a win to me. It felt more like a loss because we played so well that game and we should've won. That was probably our best chance to win there in the last 9 seasons having played so well.

we were 3-0 down

against a good team, a point was a very good result

They up their game, the fans are as loud as they are all season. As they say, in matches like these, form goes out the window.
