I agree, I also agree with keeping a strict wage cap. If we hadn't we would have killa, bj, ks and gradel on massive wages and still looking to improve the squad.

I believe in paying the right players the right money.

Carlos, because in all other cases you mentioned club like to tell us how the player has been ofered a contract but turned it down.

To which the agent has gone forget it.

Yes. Enough to say that all the deals mentioned involved the players agents getting deals done and then going back to leeds with a basic ultimatum. Apart from ks who agreed to see out his contract before leeds decided to cash in.

If money was the issue, why not sell snoddy?

carlos, with respect to money/snoddy, maybe the club feels there is more they can get and are holding out for more.

Re Gradel, the onlky info I have heard is that people have been told that Max's agent wants 25k per week.

That may or may not be true, but who would leak this info, certainly not Max.

This means that either Leeds are undermining the negotiations and the 25k may or may not be true.

If it is true I would agree that it is greedy and maybe Max is getting bad advice, but as so many say on here we have to wait and see on this one.

It could just as easily be a case of Leeds wanting to cash in on Max.

If you say you have some inside knowledge on Max I'm happy to respect that.

I dont think it is greedy if he genuinely can get that money. Not many would do otherwise. He just didn't need to be naive enough to state he loved the club.

I like the way leeds are handling it though tbh. I don't like the way our squad is right now but things have been difficult this closed season, not least by our stance on wages. That said I'm confident we will improve squad wise on last year.

We can't be prudent and have an expensive team.

I like my job and the company I work for and I'm sure they'd miss me but if someone offered to more than double my wages I'd be gone like a shot!!!

Nothing naive about saying you love the clube if you do indeed love the club.

I don't take a lot of notice of those throwaway quotes especially when situations outside of one's control can change.

You are dismissing a lot of news to justify your point though, and all of this is the news that is more positive towards the club.

Why wouldnt gradel and his agent have denied the claims he has asked fro 25k a week if it wasn't true?

Why would the club make that up? Surely that would put off bidders and lower his valuation as an asset, which you say leeds are trying to force out of the club to make money from?

I've seen one or 2 tweets re 25k then lots of discusion in forums regurgitating those quotes.

I've seen no news about 25k, if that was what you're alluding to.

The club are great at claiming to do business behind closed doors and then changing the rules when they want to.

Remember Bates going public re Bradley Johnson who then had to defend himself publicly?

I don't trust Bates at all which is why I try and read between teh lines with most things the club puts out.

Not a single person on here can point at official proof of what the wage structure is at Leeds or what a player is earning so it's all speculation really.

liw, the club hasnt, but that was in response to Jonty saying it must have come from the club, as gradels side wouldnt let it out.

But we have seen info from sources of the 25k, you dont believe this to be true, but why isnt gradel denying it then?

If I was to believe the Leeds side of the story it adds up and makes sense.

If i try and believe your side where its a theory that leeds are lying about the whole situation and really just want to force him out of the club....it seems to have plenty of flaws.

Faith, I don't know if the scenario put to you is the case at all, just trying to highlight the fact that we don't know much about the situation.

Maybe Gradel doesn't want to get into a war of words, who knows, I know Beckford didn't want to get involved in teh mud slinging, it sounded from Johnson interviews that he didn't either.

But do you really think it would have been one of Max's team that leaked anything about 25k?

We just have to wait and see on this one.
