Lazio are a disgrace! Their fans racist chanting aimed at Defoe and Townsend was disgusting and should be reported.
To be fair Lazio did what they had to, it was up to the ref to punish thee players with a couple of red cards. The ref was par for a Spurs match though, very, very poor.

Dec - It's such a poor league, if that was Stoke there would have been uproar, Lazio were in my opinion worse!

Well they finished fourth in their league same as us and our three kids at the back dealt with them no problem.
That was a comfortable 2-0 win in my opinion now AVB has tell the players that is what it was.
Benny I agree with everything you say, it makes our ref's look pretty good, I just forget every season how poor european ref's are. Its not just when we play, I have seen it happen to our nearest and dearest.
Anyone else feel with replaced Modric with someone even better? Okay, maybe not yet but boy is he good. I'm amazed no one else matched the clause in his contract. I think we're struggling more with the gap left by VDV. Dempsey just isn't that player, neither for me is Sigurdsson.
Dembele might not be better than Modric in some aspects but he certainly looks like he could be more effective.
I know people have said it before but he could quite easily be the next Essien.

Fridge and TWD. Passing wise Modric is ahead but Physically, dribbling and general ball retention Dembele is better. That and he suits our system better.

Messiah, I guess we see if differently, he just didn't seem in the game for me, his movement was good but on the ball I thought he was poor.

Decspur- I'd maybe wait for the away game before you can say 'we finished 4th, so did they and we looked much better'. Teams have weird mind sets away in Europe. That wasn't the Lazio side that has had a great 12 months. When you go the Olympico, it'll be a different game.
An Spurs will also play a different game. I fully expect Spurs to get the win in Italy.

Most of the top Italian teams including Juve, AC Milan, Napoli, Roma, Udinese play technical, passing football. Serie A may be slower paced than the Premier League but they're technically superior as far as I'm concerned. Contrary to perpetuated myth, Serie A isn't synonymous with Catennacio.
