'If we were to complain and moan like Liverpool fans after the game then yes'

Of course - because when united lose a game it is never the ref's fault, the linesman's fault, the colour of the kit(!!!!) etc You mancs really make me laugh sometimes!

Colour of the kit!!!

LAMU blaming the colour of the kit!

At least the ref can make game changing decisions, what did the kit do? Possess the players into making poor decisions?

Yeah those army guys are idiots as well, what just because your wearing clothes that are a similar colour to the background colours you think people won't see you idiots!!

You keep pushing on that irony don't you...

I can only assume you either completely avoid contact with other Liverpool fans or are incredibly stupid.

For starters I always hear conspiracies about refs and United from Liverpool fans. Can you tell me who was wishing a certain referee from a recent game had died from his cancer Ill give you a clue it was the ones who are always the victims and whose fault it never is and not United fans...

Again more irony! It no way am I suggesting that we don't moan when we lose a game, I just think it's a bit rich that a manc of all people would point it out when you are famous for NEVER losing a game without it being the ref/other manager/fans/kit colour's fault!!! Or are you too STUPID to understand that?!

I fail to see the relevance in this?! Just because some moronic idiots posted with drivel, does not make them representative of all Liverpool fans - or are you too stupid to understand this too?! Or maybe all united fans are horrible because a few mock us for Hillsborough?

Like I say - always someone elses fault! And just to say it must be hard playing in a grey strip - we had one for 4 years from 87-91 and in that time we were rubbish*

How do you know that

1) they were liverpool fans
2) they were grown up enough to realise the consequences of their actions

There was a united fan that drove a minibus into a crowd of rival supporters killing them... don't think he used the argument that clothes they were wearing made them hard to see though.

<LAUGH>

Let me guess it is also another club that is famous for claiming this year is their year. Scousers don't claim their going to win the league title every year [or more recently top 4 every year] and they never whine and moan every time they lose. In fact scousers are perfect in cutme's little imaginary world, on title number 3 now right?

It is yet another example of Liverpool fans moaning, whining and blaming others....

I tried to explain this to my Sergeant, what do you mean I cannot wear my hi-vis jacket, it is Green like what everyone else is wearing. Apparently the man was convinced that you can get different shades and brightness of the same colour... personally I think he must have been on drugs to come up with such insanity...

On title number 3 now should read 37, just my 7 on my keyboard doesn't actually work.

Can't believe Arab is trying to condone the excuse of the"grey" kit!

I made the username a good while ago, my keyboard started messing up recently [also shift key is broke]

Lets be honest, as fun as it is to mock the kit mess up, United were never going to go through all that trouble, get all that abuse from the media and lose themselves that much money so they could simply have an excuse for doing badly in one game. It just really wasn't worth all that trouble, I highly doubt the players would say their struggling to see each other simply for.... a laugh...

It just doesn't really make sense at all to cause yourself all that hassle to make an excuse for doing badly in one half of football.

Lastly United did actually do a lot better second half when they changed the kits, maybe a load of them got together and decided they disliked the grey kit so deliberately sabotaged their performance first half and blamed the kit.

Did they?

Thought they didn't score until the last minute when Southampton had already taken their foot off the gas.

It was ridiculous, and man utd were ridiculed and still will be.

It was a poor excuse, schmeical was the main reason you lost that day.

posted on 29/9/12

Well we lost 3-0 in the first half and won 1-0 in the second half, even if you want to exclude our goal we still did a hell of a lot better.

..............................
It was a poor excuse
..............................

I am guessing the kit change must have been for the fun of it then, someone obviously decided the expense and the hassle would obviously all be worth it to make an excuse for one shocking half of football against a team.

Well either that or all the players decided grey really didn't suit so purposely played rubbish for a half to get rid of the grey kits.

Both obviously far more likely than the kit being changed because players were struggling to see each other, that is just serious conspiracy talk...

One of the funniest things ever... And winning 1-0 in the second half? Balls! Consolation last minute goal, that's all it was.

Used the kit as a scapegoat.

Like I said, even if you exclude the goal we still did a lot better, or can you not see the difference between conceding 3 goals and conceding none? I can tell you there is a pretty big difference.

because it makes perfect sense to cause yourself that much hassle and cost yourself money simply to excuse one bad half of football, the only confusing thing is why the club doesn't do it every single time they are doing badly at half time, because it was easily worth the money and hassle....

posted on 29/9/12

You scored a consolation last minute goal, if that's doing a lot better in your book so be it.

Grey kit was a poor excuse for a poor performance. Have a look at schmeical, what was his argument? The ball was the wrong shade of white?

Blaming a kit for a performance is farcical, possibly the least influential part of football.

Strange that the kit was worn previously with no issues.

Okay I don't know if you are a bit ret arded but I have said this twice now and you seemed to still manage to miss it... I will repeat it a few times for you to make it more likely to sink in for you...

Manchester United lost four and drew one of their five (or four and a half) games in the notorious grey kit. It was officially retired two days after this game, and they proceeded to win every remaining fixture to take the title.

Lee Sharpe
"Having said that, it was a bit tricky to see players. It was all right if you had a bit of time to look up and see what was happening, but you didn't see much if you only had time to glance. I think the weather had something to do with it too - the fact that it was so bright made our dull grey harder to make out."

We lost, referee should have given us at least one penalty probably 2 but we lost the game thanks to our poor performance first half and our inability to capitalise on our great second half performance.

If I was a scouser I would probably be going wild at this point and giving abuse to the referee whilst criticising the whole FA and refs association for being biased either against my club or for whatever opposition we faced that day.

As it is I just put it down to some bad decisions from the ref.

Because man utd haven't received the benefit of dodgy / poor decisions in that particular fixture?

Don't know what you're getting at there.

Basically If United were as bad as the scousers when it came to losing the game there would be all kinds of talk about referee conspiracies and moaning about how the refs are always giving decisions against us. The reaction would have been like the one on the Liverpool board, if we had a lot of whiners and moaners like Liverpool fans do.

Might take me 4 mins to reply to this one, is that enough time, or should I allocate more?

Your a Liverpool fan, 4 is merely a minimum you guys deserve at least a minute and a half extra on top of that.

If I were an Arsenal fan you would have up to 10 minutes extra to reply to me being a Liverpool fan, you would also be likely to get a penalty near the end of this 10 minutes.
