I'm not aware of that comment from Mafia, I guess he was using exaggeration to illustrate a point as you were with your double the size comment.

Back on topic, I obviously would have liked us to win last night, but don't much care about the league cup this season. Oh and sod bigger, as long as we are at least 17th best this season I will be happy. Hoping for 10th

Not anywhere near the same thing,. I used a phrase which many people use when describing something as big as. Me saying we are twice the size of you is not be taken literally but to be taken as "we are much bigger than you" any normal person other than you could see that. Mafia freak actually thinks you're tin pot club are bigger than every club other than United, Liverpool and Arsenal and actually was quoted as saying this you sound even more stupid for sticking up for him

I'm not that bothered about going out of the League Cup. Teams which have just been promoted to the Premiership could do without those extra games in their quest to stay up.

But I was annoyed at our lack of creation when on the attack. We just kept crossing it into the box from the wing - over and over again.
It's ok if you've got the likes of Andy Carroll who is thrives on that kind of tactic, but Maiga is not that kind of player.

A couple of things occur when reading your above comment.

Firstly you say your comment was not to taken literally, ok then, but you obviously are taking Mafia's literally. I am not defending him because without seeing the context in which he made the comment how can I judge how he meant it?

The other thing, as you have now referred to West Ham as a "teapot club" it's clear you views on West Hams size are generated by hatred rather than logic. Sad I bet you wanted Wigan to win last night aswell, I on the other hand only want Spurs to lose when we play you. Outside of that I don't care, apart from European games when l wish you well.

I would have thought Reading was a bit more to the south, but may be wrong on that one

Their only success in recent years is winning Playoff finals

--

And even those tickets went on General sale!!

Tottenham vs Chelsea semi final FA cup didnt even get past members with loyalty points less than 100...

Have fun watching yourselves in the championship next season in your one quater filled Olympic Stadium...

Sorry Reading is more on a level with Selhurst Park.

Lss, West Ham sold all their play-off tickets, all the returned Blackpool tickets they were allowed and touts on the day were charging over £500 what is your point.

to be honest though, after going reading a couple of weeks ago for spurs, i have to say its not exactly the greatest place in the world.

tottenham is much much better.

Honest question, as WHL is pretty much sold out to season tickets how do others build up loyalty points? If it is via cup games I'm surprised at the attendance last Thursday. How does it work.

I'm a member on the waiting list but I have got tickets for every home game so far.. They have members only seats that go on sale

dramatic.

the attendance at the lane is about 36,000.

there are 26,000 so lets say that 7,000 tickets go each game after taking into account away fans and any corporate hospitality.

each game that the member books gets you loyalty points. i go to every home game, but i am not a season ticket holder (number 15,000 on waiting list i think). i get 1,3, or 5 loyalty points based on whether the game is cat A B or C.

i go to many away games too, but i go on family friends season tickets as its quite tough to get an away game on membership.

the season ticket includes a ticket to the first two home cup games of the season. so the lazio game was covered by the season ticket. several season ticket holders didnt go though, as many spurs fans now feel that we are above the europa league, so dont bother. (a ridiculous arrogant mindset that i hate)

loyalty points come into play for away games, and for cup games like semi's and finals at neutral grounds.

every home game is first come first serve for members, but for example the chelsea semi was something like members with at least 120 loyalty points, plus all season ticket holders or something like that.

so by building up loyalty points from buying tickets, it makes you more likely to get an away game that goes to members, or a cup away or neutral game.

*about 26,000 season ticket holders

So you reserve a few thousand league tickets for general sale.

We haven't had any free cup tickets for at least ten years.

West Ham often use length of time as a season ticket holder, with the FA cup final for instance only those who had kept theirs during the previous yo got a seat.

no.

as far as i am aware, each home game goes to members first, and if the members dont sell out the rest of the ground by a certain date, then they go on general sale.

its often confusing on the website because it says "general sale" when the general sale date comes around, even if all the tickets have been bought by members, and thus the game is sold out.

as far as i am aware, not many games go to general sale, certainly no category A games.. which are man u man c chelsea liverpool arsenal, and yes, west ham.

Lss

So now you have attended each game does that mean loyalty points make it more likely you will get the next or are leagues games first come first served?

I meant members. I said general just to mean as opposed to S.T holders.

So have you two got season tickets in all but name? If loyalty points get you tickets and getting tickets get you loyalty points, does that mean those with less loyalty points can never build thiers up?

I guess buying one game at a time costs more?

they can build it up. home games (where you can get loyalty points) are first come first serve, nothing to do with loyalty points held.

loyalty point are only relevant for away games and neutral venue cup games.

even though i have lots of loyalty points, if i am slow off the mark, 100 members who bought their membership this morning could nip in and buy a ticket, and thus get themselves some membership points.
