For some reason I thought you hated cricket. Did you tell me you played cricket for Latymer?

Most of the time I enjoy a sporting event even if I'm not really in to that particular sport. For instance, I'm not a massive tennis fan but I love watching Wimbledon. Though for some reason I'm not that bothered by the other slams.

Squid - the yanks have no patience. That's why when they have breaks at NFL games they are bombarded with adverts and mid game entertainment.

Freddie bein pi$$ed was hilarious, I was there in central London that day.

does that ever happen? i think overtime in american football is sudden death, so the team just has a drive and kicks a field goal on 4th down.

RB&W, as a member of a club don't you think there a few pompous self important people who play the game. The story's about no women and no black members can't all be untrue. It's the last bastion of white middle class male exclusivity. I've had personal experience of golf club members who looked down their nose at me and had me thrown off a course for not having the right shoes.

I did play for my school but only a handful of times. Used to go on cricket camps in the summer when I was a kid as well, loved them.

Haven't played in years but I want to get in to it next year. Bought myself a cricket ball and a Kookaburra bat the other week, been practicing a bit in the garden.

We have had a few incidents of racial disharmony recently and for me the "super Saturday" during the Olympics was amazing not only the fact that we won 3 golds but the fact that one white guy , one black guy and a beautiful mixed race lady were all treated exactly the same , all were cheered until the roof nearly came off .........For me one of the biggest signs that the whole country has moved on

that was great. unfortunately there would have been plenty of idiots watching that and not considering either mo farah or jessica ennis as british

the BNP is gaining in popularity after all

I hate the idiots who say, 'I'm English, not British'. The muppets don't seem to realise that English is an ethnicity and British is a nationality.

Thanks

This article was always meant to be about different sports and attitudes within are part of that sport

Golf is probably a bit backward as are a number of other sports are in it's views but things always take time and hopefully they will catch up I'm sure a lot of progress has already been made

....................

Sorry mate dont agree , Try telling the Welsh , the Scotts and the Irish that ......TBH we are Brits end of but there's no reason we cannot be proud of being Welah or whatever

What dont you agree with? English is an ethnicity, and British is a nationality.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make. Any national of Britain is British - it's a point not open to debate. A Scotsman or a Welshman is a Brit, whether they like it or not.

Palmers

We are both , we are Brits and Welsh or English .....Just because we are British does not exclude us from having a national affinity .....In the Commonwealth games will you cheer on Chris Hoy or Jason Kenny if they face each other in the Sprint final ??????
