4 - 2 all the way but hoping for 5 - 2 cos if he turns into a good player rest of the team will be world beaters & we'll be flying high at the top fo the leauge.............or am i getting carried away with all this excitment of a new season!
We controlled the match last night & looked like scoring regularly then he brings JOC on with about 10 minutes to go. Suddenly, we lose control of midfield & Rotherham score.
A new season, same story.
If JOC plays, we will be nowhere near promotion. The man is a curse.
JOC is garbage but hes nowhere near as bad as Lenny!

Cheer up FFS
Anyone that thinks he's a good player needs to book in at the doctors and quick.
The bloke is utterly useless, how he continues to play at this level is beyond me. Fair enough he works hard, but you could pay me to chase shadows for 90 minutes every week.
I just don't see what he brings to the team?
JOC gives his best every game; what more do people want? Same people slagging him are probably those calling Mellor lazy..
O'Connor isn't the best player in the world but what is he supposed to do, say 'No thanks, I won't sign that contract because I don't deserve to play for Wednesday'?! The club pay him so all you can ask is for him to give 100% and he does that. Get off his case!
I think you will find that no-one is blaming JOC for signing the contract. The issue was offering it to him. The fact that there is debate as to whether or not he is better or worse than Kenny or Rocastle says it all.
If we are serious about promotion then Megson must keep him away from the pitch.
'The issue was offering it to him' - of course but again, that wasn't his fault yet people are slagging him to kingdom come on here.
I wouldn't have offered it to him either but he's here now.
The last word on JOC should surely be.......
Meh
I think Meggo has re-signed him to play in his best position - in the dressing room. Last year we were losing to poor sides who simply had a better team spirit than us so Meggo has got rid of the half-hearted mercenaries and kept those with good character (apart from Tommy Spurr who we got money for). For all the criticism flying around, I have seen JOC have decent games. I hope he spends most of the season on the bench or even lower down the pecking order but he's not a bad bloke to have in our squad.
I don't care that it wasn't JOC's fault. It is Megson's fault but he shouldn't be here.

Think you're being a bit dramatic to be honest - I could understand if we were playing in the Premier League but we're a lower leagues club and he's a lower league player.

He really isn't and if any of his defenders actually watched him when he's playing they would understand the exasperation.
chupa
didn't you say you'd rather play with 10 men? hardly the most rational commentator on the subject if so..
And I stand by that.
Again, unless you've watched him you might think this is madness. But the problems he causes for his own team makes him a hindrance rather than a help.
A traffic cone is in the right position more often than JOC but only because it can't move.
chupa
Watched him plenty of times and I yeah, I think what you're saying is madness. Each to their own though eh..
So who had the final word?
I don't expect to hear 'the final word' until well after he's released.
so, you're having the final word then Izzy, oh wait, now it's me, sorry
