Can't blame him for that comment,he was clearly fuming and he never blasts the players in interviews so he found something else. But mark my words he will be tellin the players what he really thinks in the dressing room,

will he be giving Giggs the hairdryer too?
To be fair friedel wasn't half wasting time and it took spurs a minute to take a free kick. But I wish sometimes he does blast the players as its been shiittteee for yonks now. The midfield is total shiittteee and fergie is to blame and no one else!
He was quite stubborn with ESPN post-match today. He was asked why we were poor 1st half and what changed for 2nd half (basically hinting Giggs was poor and subbing him made some difference) yet he only said 'our attitude wasn't right in the 1st half and we had better attitude in the 2nd half'. He didn't mention Giggs at all and still took digs at Nani even though today he didn't seem to have gone down easily (though he does do that many times). His was a far clearer penalty than Valencia's last week. Sometimes you do get a feeling with SAF that he gives vague/controversial answers so that it deflects from the real point which can be painful to discuss and admit.

He is clearly in the wrong, but Fergie's a bad loser, its nothing new.
I reckon he looks at these comments a few days later and cringes.
Wicked games, I agree. We are all really fooked off with fergie for picking mind blowingly stupid line ups. Giggs offers nothing at all and when he went off the difference was all there to see..... I mean Anderson had a good game on Wednesday and had energy and wasnt involved today.... Why??? Fergie throw the points today and should take the blame not the ref ffs!
tbf to Fergie he isn't (normally) a bad loser. When we get truly stuffed he hold his hands up. I have heard him say on many occasions say that the better team won, when we have lost, or that 'they battered us'. When they did.
He must have seen something in today's game that makes him feel that we could have got something from it.
Like the second half.

He keeps his true feelings to himself is only true half the times. If it was Nani instead of Giggs he would surely have mentioned it. I think he deflected this point because 95% people would never have chosen Giggs over Rooney and it was his mistake. Rooney can even play on the wing and in the CM better than Giggs so its not even about playing a different system. Rooney can replace Giggs in any system and still be twice more effectice.
Fergie has only himself to blame for his ridiculous team selection and for being the only person in the world to think that United don't have a midfield problem.
I was looking at your bench today thinking how lucky we were that Cleverley, Welbeck and Rooney weren't starting. The game would have been very different if they had.
I commented on the match thread earlier about time wasting after about 60mins. Friedel putting the ball down ready to take a goalkick, then taking another 45 seconds or so before actually taking it.
Why is it only United games where there is an issue with added time? I think the guidline is 30 secs per goal scored and 30 secs for each substitution. If you actually factor in timewasting by Spurs it should have been longer than 4 mins.
Last week at Liverpool there were 5 mins signalled by the 4th official. We played 7 mins 30 secs. Why was nothing said about that. Is added time only an issue if United need to score?

All I am saying is that he did say 'our defence was poor' and 'Nani made a meal of the penalty'. May be both are true. But what is much more obvious ahead of these 2 points is that Giggs was atrocious. People say he is protecting players but he is only protecting the players he wants to.
all 3 goals they scored were down to poor defending. Not Giggs.
We dont have a midfield problem at all.
Sir Alex just refuses to use fit, young and ready midfielders over a passed it left winger.
We dont have a midfield problem at all.

correct.
Giggs wasn't at fault for the first two goals anyway.
Both goals the spurs players were just allowed to run through with no challenges it was embarrassing to watch.
Fergie should let the youngsters have a game after that shocking display.
They can't really do worse than what we've seen in recent weeks can they?
Rafael Wooten Evans Buttner
Nani Cleverley Anderson Kagawa
Rooney
RVP
Why not?
Rafael Wooten Evans Buttner
Nani Cleverley Anderson Kagawa
Rooney
RVP
only Wooten is a rookie out of that lot
I'm surprised he was crying about time wasting, it's nothing new, it's the reason we have Fergie time in the first place. When teams are up at united, they find all and every way to stay ahead, and time wasting is one of them. It's then inevitable there will be a sizeable amount of injury time. If teams want to see less Fergie time, stop wasting time. Simple.
But for Fergie to highlight this as one of the reasons we lost is laughable. The reason we lost was because he picked the wrong team, and I hope to god he realises this. Because if he doesn't, we're *****d.
