The best celebration is this one:

I'll ask the article author about pre season

I too am excited about team celebrations tbh. This time of year I start thinking about doing millions of career modes, wonder which ones will stick

Watch that for about 2 or 3 minutes. Guess what I'm going to say.

Bit fast

Not sure what I make of that new menu thing, makes it harder to see all the players at once, I'll get use to it though.

Understatement.

The team management is certainly an improvement, but the old system was outdated years ago. Stadium, lighting, presentation and player likenesses are good as you'd expect.

I know it's two human players but once again it looks like both of those players are Tuco from Breaking Bad. They talk about making it feel like real football but the gameplay barely resembles a real match.

Refer to my earlier comment about user-controlled celebrations at 3:45.

The whole making it feel like a real match is never going to happen, because all the matches are 10-12 minutes long so the game has to be faster paced, with nearly no build up play.

People don't have the patience either

@Dave797: @DaveThompz no changes to preseason. Retirement issues sorted tho. Older players attributes will degrade slower also.

'I really wish they'd bring in some individual training for example, I want my Leftback to have better shooting so I'll let him train this section so I can create my own Bale...'

As in PES 6, you should be able to focus training on specific areas suited to different positions (I'm not 100% but I think certain stats increase more playing in different positions), but it shouldn't be as extreme as Bale (who, in all honesty, was always better at attacking than defending).

Not read the article yet but will do so now.

Your thoughts john

Team management and transfers sound good genuinely good.

Despite the AI and player growth apparently being better, I still think that, this being FIFA, they won't be entirely to my liking.

Am I right in thinking they can initially not notice the offside flag now? If so, is it convincing? Because the lino just royally trolled me playing PES.

I swear I heard they introduced a delay sometimes

Just put an early cross in, Soldado headed in, wheeled away in celebration, I was loving it as I thought we were 2-0 up but then he saw the flag. The commentary in PES is sometimes horrific, sometimes quite good and it helped on this occasion.

nah, offsides in pes 6 were legendary. genuinely thought id scored only for henrys face to drop like a stone after a bit of celebrating.

much better than facking fifa, where you know you're offside but the player keeps on running towards goal till the linesman flags.

So far the videos of PES 2015 have looked decent. Player bodies and the movements they make are more lifelike, although sometimes when they turn it looks a bit manic. The general flow of the game is much more realistic than FIFA. Framerate looks improved which was a bit of an issue in the PS3 games so far. There are still occasions where players don't lock on to the ball when it passes right by them but generally promising.

Running animation still looks very strange and the players look too small for the pitch but it also looks better than the last PES I played by a long way.

That PES gameplay looks horrible, all the animations look so robotic. Also the menus still look like a PS2 game.

Actually having looked at more footage, the whole game looks like a PS2 game.

posted on 14/8/14

The way the animations link together certainly makes the players appear more like their real life counterparts. Despite being controlled by two humans, the game doesn't descend into constant straight-line sprinting and trying to play it over the top. When I get a PS4 I'll definitely try out demos of both games.

Not sure what yer mean by the PS2 game thing. Especially the menus, as up to the second PS4 instalment FIFA's menus were definitely less effective and boring to navigate. They do look a lot better now tho, although it'll still be a bit of a pain if they're sluggish. In terms of gameplay the actual differences are clear, but it'll be great if it can match the PS2 games for sheer playability, excitement and game flow.

I think the animations when players turn quickly look slightly weird, but at the same time the ID of players like Neymar looks quite good, his close control is pretty realistic.

Still not keen on those weird set piece dotted line things though. No need.
