EA have managed to convince me once again that their game will be worth buying. Either I'm extremely gullible or they're geniuses.

Anyone else really loving the new career mode? I did an Arsenal one start of the third season:

Szc (81)
Varane (85) BFG (84) Boateng (86)
Judesc (85) Wilshere (83)
Alexis (84) Di Maria (87) Depay (81)
Reus (87) Sturridge (85)

Started a Pompey one as well. Got into the Championship (simmed first two seasons), and got a very contrasting season. My 2* scout found an Aussie with 70 overall and 83-94 potential. He's at 75 now. Next season he found an American dude with similar stats.

Need a really cheap striker though.

I hate the new menu's when selecting a team on Career Mode, it's way harder to see their fitness.

Started a Career Mode with WBA. First game against Sunderland, hit the post after a few minutes after Berahino wriggled through the defence, then took the lead after Yacob got on the end of Pocognoli's cross. They equalised immediately as the defence fell asleep allowing Bridcutt to latch onto a through ball and rifle it in. I was awarded a penalty shortly afterwards, which John O'Shea was incredibly lucky to stay on for. Berahino's shot was saved by Pantilimon. Sunderland mostly defended for the away point, but missed a late chance to snatch 3 points as they hit the post after being clear on goal. 1-1.

signed anyone?

Doubt it's much of an issue playing as WBA, but for realism and a bit more of a challenge you could try to stick to homegrown/foreign player quotas.

Turned first window off for realism. I'm eyeing up targets, like Patrick Roberts at Fulham.

For some reason Ronaldinho is only on UT at the moment. Tottenham don't seem to have any youth team players either, yet WBA have quite a lot.

Southampton 2-2 West Brom

Southampton had all the chances but fell behind when Sessegnon converted a free kick, and then a minute later he extended the lead after capitalising on a defensive error and running clear on goal, slotting past Kelvin Davis. They got one back after Pocognoli messed up a header and Ward-Prowse scored, and then equalised just after HT when Tadic converted from inside the box. Probably lucky to escape with a draw.
