mick mccarthy and terry connor.
Stuart Pearce - at least he'd start Sordell!
Thanks Benny, I've always liked McCarthy actually. Although having a player as fantastic as Fletcher in your squad and not starting him every game is possibly the poorest piece of management I've ever seen.
Alan Curbishley 4/1
Rafa Benitez 8/1
Steve Bruce 8/1
Lee Clark 12/1
Dave Jones 14/1
Steve McLaren 16/1
Sven Goran Eriksson 16/1
Alan Shearer 20/1
Dean Holdsworth 20/1
Billy Davies 25/1
That's the top ten in terms of odds.

Benitez' name has been thrown about a bit, I would absolutely love that.
ive thought a while that Campo should become a coach of some sort, remember seeing him say something on twitter about how he would come back to bolton if called to it
I`ve seen Phil brown a few seasons ago hanging around the Reebok i wonder if he would be in contention, even thought he might be goin to Coverty city
I just got banned by reluctantnicko for asking this very same question!
should do my research a bit better
HH - I know where you are coming from with this article, but it is a very hypothetical discussion.
There is nothing to suggest that OC will be sacked.
What the fans want or indeed think is often far removed from what chairmen and directors think.
Until he is actually sacked/walks, we are urinating in the wind!
true C E F but theres wishful thinking
'There is nothing to suggest that OC will be sacked.'
I get what you mean but he's way off Phil's targets and even if its not soon he'll need a miracle to keep the job past new year
I chose to ignore oddschecker, because we won't pay for another manager, we cannot afford to!
We can always dream of Redknapp and Benitez. Neither would happen.
Of course it's hypothetical, but so are most things on a forum.
CEF, no offence, but your "fans don't decide anything anyway" line is getting a bit tired. I know what you are saying, but Coyle could be out of a job very soon, so it's natural that people want to think about who the next manager could be if he is.
My picks are Lee Clark and Sean O'Driscoll, whether they would want the job is another matter.
Hey HH. What is so frustrating is that there are no good candidates out there that could do the job.
Before I get jumped on, I do now want a change, but all those listed are the usual crap suspects. I can't offer an alternative, but I think we have to go with a foreign manager now.
I would love to see Hierro and Campo back but can't see them coming now we're in the Championship.
Hierro was binned by Malaga this summer as director of football due to cost cutting. For me worth an ask?
Paulo di Canio may be entertaining. We now need a strong leader. An ass kicker!
phil brown has said he would love the job, with the squad we have.
Hierro left malaga they were 4th in the league and qualified for champions league. he left his position{ wki }he was not binned
Have we got to the point yet where anybody is better than what we have now?
Not the experience I think we need though Petrov. Everyone keeps saying we need people who know what they are doing behind the scenes and then suggesting we employ people with less management experience than Coyle. That's a big risk.
Whats Colin Todd and Bruce Rioch up to these days?

No offence taken LH
Is it tiresome because it's true and therefore frustrating for everyone who wants OC gone?
Its not nearly as tiresome as the fact there is never anyone on here after a win. Last week broke the record for inactivity.
As I said on another thread, I just wish the club (i.e. PG) would come out and give a clear statement. It's all well and good people on here saying Coyle will go if we lose to Leeds, but we don't know that for certain.
On Nuts there have been a number of polls about us wanting a defeat in the next game. The number of people who voted 'yes' was unbelievable. But those yes's were based on the assumption that defeat would result in OC being sacked. Until this is clearly stated, these types of threads are hypothetical.
It'll no doubt be someone who's very cheap.
but also someone who has an interest in bringing forward the players from the youth system we've invested heavilly into.
CEF, there's a bit of an imbalance of posters on Nuts. I know most people across the board want Coule out now, but the majority on there wanted him out over the Summer. Maybe it's because most of the mods on there are anti-Coyle, dunno. But I don't think that "who wants us to lose?" business is a reflection of the support as a whole. No proof of that, just gut feel.
