That was an intentional attempt at dumbing down Evertons current league acheivements with a direct comparison to Liverpool, I agree with 3 left feet.

OK phil just for you I will re-write that comment.

I'm not taking anything away from Everton, points gained are what counts and you've gained them whether you played utd, City and Arsenal or utd, Newcastle and Villa.

indeed but we still don't want to share a ground with you.

JB. What you have done is try to knock evertons current position.

We played united and castle off the park at home, lost a tricky game against a good west brom side away from home and gave since netted three times in games against Villa away....Swansea away and saints at home....

Add to that 4 clean sheets....immediately pretty haooy and we still have players settling into the English game.

Do you actually read what I write or just make your mind up that all Liverpool fans will have a go at Everton no matter what so my comments must be in the same ilk? I've said several times over the past few days that you have had a magnificent start - you have. My earlier comment said that whoever you play it's the points that count and fair do's to you. How you see that as knocking you goodness only knows!

You and phil haven't stopped having a go at the Liverpool fans on here who like Rodgers and what he says. The constant dig after dig is getting montonous. Most take it in good stride but should someone say something about you having a smile on your face with the opening fixtures, you revert to type which is why Evertonians are know as the bitters.

You're a really decent lad, there's no doubt about that but stop reading what isn't there and start reading what is there.

Yes you were quick to point out that we had a great start......against some easy teams.....but adding there are no easy sides in the league

It's funny that you want to take umbrage with the easy games comment. If you are someone who doesn't view teams on any sort of scale between easy and difficult then I can now see that me saying easy goes against the way you view your opponents.

I see teams on a scale. So for me the top 3 teams utd, city and Arsenal would be difficult. Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs similarly. Then theres the middling group that I estimate not so difficult and then the 'easy' teams - Swansea, Norwich, Reading, QPR. Everton doesn't fit into the scale because of who you are and who we are. It's the second biggest game of the season (in my view).

Our 'easy' opener - we lost. I still see it as an easy opener but on the day we deserved to lose.

Every team has to play each other twice so there's nowhere to hide and much debate about soed it matter what order you play each other in. For me - no it doesn't matter. I prefer to get the more difficult ones out of the way early and the easy ones to follow when the team has more chance of winning having gelled that bit better.

Maybe you can teach phil the art of how to be a happy Evertonian

Wow all that to avoid the issue.

I always said judge our form after 10 games

What issue?

I also said judge after 10 games.

I think Everton had an easy start but have also said you gathered the points, so easy or hard, it makes no difference, you are where you are based on winning the points to put you there. It doesn't alter the fact that for me it was an easy starting fixture. If you read into that, that I'm knocking Everton then I won't be able to change your mind. I only know what my intention was and it wasn't to knock the great start you've enjoyed.

Only way a shared stadium would work would be if the council paid for it - if not we'd be subsidising Everton. It's a non starter cos the council won't pay for it and Everton couldn't (at the moment) afford to go halves.
Mind you, imagine we paid for it and then charged them rent - how ironic would that be! We could then up the rent and kick them out all over again

No JB. Its clear you wanted to knock our easy start.

posted on 3/10/12

In defence of JB I can sort of understand his logic.Currently Everton have only played teams below them, hence easy start to season.Liverpool on the other hand have played 5 teams above them and only one team who are below them (Norwich where they gained their solitary win) hence the hard start.

So please don't knock him for using RS logic,it's in their genes

Liverpool are far too big of a club to be sharing a ground.
Maybe Tranmere or Marine could join forces with Everton, and build a new stadium in Skelmersdale, or New Brighton.

So the fans second most sucessful club in English football doesn't want to share a stadium with the fourth most sucessful club?

The way the "Reds" are performing in the League, we may well be electing to share a Premiership ground with Tranmere in the not too distant future.
