nuns, Reid and Brown??????? Not for me. I don't know who I want but I do know who I don't want and they are two of the latter options.

Should never have been relegated, plenty points thrown away, and to add icing on the cake WBA home 2-0 up, mmm lets take a defender off and put a striker on!! Crazy.
Now we are down and still making huge errors of judgement.
If i were Eddie i would be very concerned about my investment & would be looking to make several changes very very soon indeed.

just a couple of points:

Megson was a far superior manager to Owen Coyle. Megson realised we had a crap football team so played to there strengths. Yes he lost to fans by calling them pathetic, however...he was categorically correct. Bolton fans at the time "expected" to be higher in the league and seem to just dismiss the fact that we had lost our best manager in our history and not only that a massive core of our team, Bruno, Campo, Speed, Stelios, Anelka. Take terry, lampard, mata and torres out of chelseas team.... there would be a marked drop in performance. Megson was then given licence to sign some players. He made some excellent signings, Cahill, Elmander, Petrov. True to say spent a lot of money, so i accept this argument that he spent a lot and didnt really get us ticking. A little bit difficult when you have the Reebok "faithful" on your back from the word go..

Remember us calling him the GInger Mourinho, it wasnt irony at first you know, we believed he was brilliant.

you can ignore all the above in the Megson vs Coyle debate. One thing that separates Megson and Coyle. Megson had an organised team, that was difficult to beat. Coyle doesnt have a clue what that even means.

This article is about Gartside. Sammy Lee was perhaps a mistake, but Megson was a very good appointment which turned sour through situation, and at the time Coyle was a fresh face, a likeable person after the not very charismatic Megson. This started well but Coyle has been found wanting later down the line.

Gartside is the reason we have practically zero debt, are still in business, have a wonderful stadium and is respected across the board, both FA and BWFC. He will act when the time is right. i have faith in the man that has done so much for the club
