I'm sure the 100k+ a week he earns helps him.

Forget the abuse. If we are bottom half for long he will look to leave regardless. He's an ambitious player and no doubt big clubs will come knocking no matter what his reputation is.

He's gone in the summer mate.
I want him to cut out the antics, cos it's killing our club's name, the media only need a sniff anything liverpool and they'll crucify us.
Not bothered if he stays now to be honest.

I pay match fees to get kicked and battered every week and love it, makes it all the better when you win and score.

As long as we start winning games it won't matter.

of course wild_rover we have never seen a blackburn player dive, a certain perversion at the emirates springs to mind here.

i know, but at the same time i can see why he has dived, if your getting kicked into next week and not getting anything, what is he meant to do?

posted on 9/10/12

Not on a wum here but who would have him?

Liverpool would demand an enormous sum for him, he's a talented player but doesn't score enough goals and lastly (and regardless if you think this is fair or not) he hardly has a favourable reputation.

I expect him to be in the PL for the foreseeable future, probably a good thing for you guys.

Laughable, its not great but Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U, Man City, Spurs etc all have just as big culprits.

Pepe for example is a man mountain and if he gets touched will cry and roll on the floor like nobody else on earth.

i am fairly sure a few european clubs wouldn't mind buying him at all. I don't want him to leave at all, i want him to cut out his antics but at the same time refs to treat him fairly and not like a piece of dirt. The dive against stoke the other day has embarrassed the club, well as a fan i feel embarrassed by it.

LOADS of clubs would have him. Are you sure he does not score enough. What makes you think that?

Is it his 28 goals and double figure assists in 62 games for us, the 133 in 235 for all clubs or 28 in 53 he has scored for Uraguay?

Football clubs don't care about reputations they care about ability and he has bags of it.

Oh and I don't care if he dives. He is our best player and works hard on the pitch. It's no different to 90% of players in La Liga every week. He gets kicked all over and I don't blame him. He wants to win.

Did you think the same 4 years ago when Ronaldo was accused of diving after almost every game?

Man up and kick em back like United do

Suarez is tarnishing the name of one of the biggest clubs in world football with his antics.

You should be thinking about Liverpool, not the odious little creature that is Suarez

Last year Young was berated by United's own fanzine saying go back to Villa if your gonna do that and even Sir Alex said he planned on having a word with him.

I would cringe at Suarez almost weekly if I supported Liverpool. Just like I used to do with Nani, you know, that guy the majority of you laughed at when JC ripped half his leg off.

Swings and roundabouts and all that

The sooner the FA amend the rules so retrospective cards can be given for events such as Huth's stamp on Suarez the better.
It's ridiculous. It's about time the FA grew some balls, handed out punishments and didn't let players appeal such decisions. It's shows everyone who's boss and will actually show kids watching at home that such behaviour will be punished. What sort of precedent is this setting just to allow such an incident to be swept under the carpet as if it never happened?
It's pathetic......

Robbing

It wasn't so long ago you wouldnt even accept he has dived or does dive, now you're claiming you dont care when he does it.

11 goals last year in the PL is not great in my opinion, In comparison Ade got 17 goals with 11 assists, and we got him for around the 10 million mark, Defoe who is nowhere near a 30 million player got 11 goals as a sub.

Assuming you did sell him and that you'd want a good fee for him I really think there would be a lack of suitors

Real-Nope
Barca-Nope
AC-Nope
Juve-Maybe
Bayern-Unlikely
Dortmund-Definitely not
PSG-don't see why they'd need him but possibly

Just my honest opinion on this, and incidentally whilst I don't like Suarez, I do think Huth's stamp was an absolute disgrace and deserves far more attention than Suarez' dive.

But none of their culprits carry the baggage Suarez carries with him.

His resume of dispicable behavior on a football field is beyond anything I have seen for some time, if ever.

Mæstro (U8867)

I didn't really mind.

Chicken;

I don't think he does "dive" per se as much as people make out. There is contact the majority of the time. I'd rather he did not but I'm not going to become a sanctimonious about it. Who would?

Super Tottenham. (U9182)

That's his first full season where is was banned for a quarter of it and had no end of stuff hanging over him. His strike rate is fine.

Why nope? To those.

The guy is getting better and better. I can see him at Barca, Bayern or Juve. Certainly PSG.

Are you trying to tell us thet Sky and the BBC have doctored all these replays of Lois throwing himself to the ground?

Its skill and talent that counts. Sometimes its okay to have a player thats a bit unorthodox as long as he performs for the side. If this wasn't the case Eric Cantona a renowned trouble maker wouldn't have lasted five minutes at Manchester United.

Cantona was given more rope by Ferguson than many players, because he could do things the mere mortal couldn't. Even Roy Keane was given some leverage, because he too was unorthodox but when push came to shove, he could win games by himself.

I reckon Brendan Rodgers is right, to give Suarez some leeway, the same leeway that Steven Gerrard is allowed, because Liverpool are a better side with both than they are without.
