Yes it was in poor taste if he did it and if he did do it i am ashamed of him as it was just not right! But if he actually means what he is saying and does think the same about the united game then fair game and i respect that. It is however completely different when it is your own player unfortunately!
and i have just realised that paragraph is just all wrong!

Both Macca and I will criticise our players or manager when they do or say something that isn't right. In fact quite a lot of our fans on ja606 are like that.
We don't just bury our heads and pretend all is right.
fair enough, i wouldn't know as i rarely go on the united board.
And not every liverpool fan buries their head's. Unfortunately Suarez yesterday has now made his position impossible to defend as a liverpool fan. He should get the correct punishment for his dive on sunday.

Why do so many people expend so much energy on messageboards. trying to prove that their club's fans are superior to another club's fans?
It's a pathetic ambition
And not every liverpool fan buries their head's.
............
I know they don't. There are a few good Liverpool posters around.
Suarez deserves the reputation and derision he gets. One of the most loathsome footballers I've ever seen. I remember the Arsenal-Liverpool game at Anfield last season where he "won" a penalty in what Keown rightly described as a "sock-on-sock" challenge in which Szczesny barely brushed his leg. Suarez gave it a few rolls, grimacing intensely and actually pulled down his socks to check the damage of this leg-breaking tackle. The guy is a self-parody.
And I'm not English for those who laughably play the xenephobia card
Looking through this thread there are a few other loathsome footballers who could quite easily match. But then what about when an Arsenal player dives? I remember Pires falling over regularly with little contact when i watched him growing up, was it the same for him?
I remember the Arsenal-Liverpool game at Anfield last season where he "won" a penalty
============================================
That happened right in front of where I was sitting, in the Anny road, and I've rarely seen a clearer penalty. He quite clearly caught him.
He may have gone down theatrically (he does do that, and I don't like it), but where were all the pundits saying "he's entitled to go over him, there", like they did when Owen did against Argentina, and countless other occasions when English players go down?
Suarez did himself no favours by doing a 'fresh-air' dive on Sunday, and I was annoyed with him for doing it, but it was the first time I'd seen him do it, and I've seen players like Bale, Young and Downing do it without being described as 'loathsome footballers'.
In other news, he had the living sh it kicked out of him, starting from the first few minutes of the match, when Huth stamped on his chest.
and I've seen players like Bale, Young and Downing do it without being described as 'loathsome footballers'.

This is more to do with the rest of the baggage Lois carries with him, than Bale, Young and Downing.
His resume is going to follow him around, just like Cantona's did twenty odd years ago.

Yes, some of it self-inflicted, much of it manufactured.
His charge-sheet includes a whole host of things that other people do as a matter of course, just to bullk it up a bit, and justify this pathetic witch-hunt ("oh, it's the whole package".
Paul Gascoigne tried to break somebody's leg in an FA Cup Final, engaged in blatant sectarian "wind-ups" when playing for Rangers, and a hole host of other things, but he wasn't a "loathsome footballer" he was a lovable drunk, because he cried in a WC match.

Gazza was the Balotelli of bygone days but with skill Balotelli coud only dream about
Liability at times, hillarious at times, but breathtaking at times too.
Suarez is a very different character and may grow up one day but at the moment, he's an utter prat that is probably the most loathed footballer playing in the PL today.
He's earned it. Up to him if he wants to rid himself of the tag but let's be honest, he does nothing to help in doing so does he.
Kenny Dalglish didn't help him with the wagon circling and I hope Rodgers doesn't make the same mistake. The signs are not looking good though
I am quite happy, highest number of comments on an article i have ever had :D
Where you from Bow anyway?
Liability at times, hillarious at times, but breathtaking at times too.
============================================
Yeah, good old Gazza. <sigh> The good old wife-beating, sectarian, bigot. God liove him.
===========================================
Suarez is a very different character
==========================================
Yes, that's true. I've never seen him try to break anybody's leg, and I don't think he beats his wife. Don't think he's an alky, either.
He denies racially abusing Evra, but who knows? maybe he did. Certainly not true 'beyond reasonable doubt' though, so in the eyes of the law, he didn't.
==========================================
Up to him if he wants to rid himself of the tag ==========================================
That's certainly not true. You get a 'tag' in Britain, you're stuck with it. Bear in mind that the 'victim mentality' tag originally came from Hillsborough, and was politically motivated, but some people still use it, don't they Macca?
It may not be the context you're using it in now, but that's where it came from. Politicians, spinning in order to get their army of lackeys in step.
Even when your own club is constantly sputing about referees, the FA, the Boy Scouts, the UN and the Krankies being against them, and treating them like
"sh it"
===========================================
is probably the most loathed footballer playing in the PL today.
===========================================
Yes, I think he probably is, but I'm genuinely puzzled by it. Obviously anybody with a reputation in this country must have earned it, so I guess we'll have to accept it, just as you'll no doubt agree that Ronaldo earned his reputation as a preening cheat, and Ferguson his as a spiteful, surly old goat.
Man United are one of the most hated commercial brands in the UK, and were even voted near the tiop in the USA, where they don't even play, so now that you're embracing the idea that reputations are always "earned", you'll no doubt be taking that on board, and won't be tempted to dismiss it as something else
==========================================
Kenny Dalglish didn't help him with the wagon circling

==========================================
A fan of Man United, warning about "wagon-circling"???? Ferguson would circle the wagons around Hitler, if he played for United.
There wasn't much room for debate about Cantona's kung-fu kick, was there? (unless it was some kind of optical illusion), but the wagons came out anyway, and when Rio Ferdinand was done for racist abuse, (way beyond reasonable doubt, because the idiot Tweeted it) Fergie said it's "because of who he plays for".
Bear in mind that the 'victim mentality' tag originally came from Hillsborough, and was politically motivated, but some people still use it, don't they Macca?

Oh, I think you did, Macca.
You're the first person who's ever done it, but Filter away.
I explicitly pointed out that I didn't think you were using it in that context now.
There's plenty of documentary evidence that that's where it came from, and the context in which it was most used.
i am from a town called Sevenoaks in kent, but at the moment I am currently at uni in Liverpool
I drove up the high street and was surprised to find out that Bentley and Lamborghini are so skint that they have combined efforts and sell in the same building
fair, it is a nice town, no lying about that! where you from?
