Gary Hooper is England's best striker.

You just need to look at his record on the Scottish Premier League to see just how prolific and amazing he is.
Talksport understand alot of things. Too bad most of it is tripe.
The only ambition FSG have is making money, whilst making naive reds think that we're gonna be signing world class players to compete against the best.
Wrong!

Cutting wage bills and using smoke and mirrors, masters of PR
What is wrong with taking a player who scores goals?
Jelvic is hardly the complete footballer.....but he can find the back of the net

Out of interest, how do you think FSG are going to make money? The only way they can do that is getting CL football. To do that they'll need to spend money. I'm not naive. I know what they're here for cos they have said what they're here for from the start. I don't really get what people expect from them?

I think its quite clear who the naive one is here.

Greatteams, cutting the wage bill isn't a bad move per se. But given the established striking options we have at this moment in time it probably wasn't a wise move to make it the immediate top priority.

FSG know that your income over the next 3-5 years is going to be between £180-£220million with the addition revenue from improved TV deals and improved commercial deals.Cutting the wagebill to £100-£120million meals there's massive profits to be made.
Getting a squad together that will challenge the big4 teams at present would cost more than the return you will get from Champions league qualification.FSG did the math probably before they bought you and definately after the king kenneth transfer debacle.
If FSG can get Liverpool FC supporters to be happy going through a transition period with a 'dynamic' manager for the future who is always good for a quote and by introducing youth into the squad then they are practically there.
Commercial deals and cutting of the wagebill where the priorities of FSG,what happens on the field is a distant second,FSG are H&G only with money in the bank and not money owed to the bank

We should have signed a striker but you can't be serious having a go at the owners for reducing the wage bill. This gives us a great chance and a clean slate to make top notch signings. I will be disappointed if this doesn't happen in January and carry on into the summer.
Any fan who can remember our figures for our last financial year knows we needed to reduce the wage bill. Have a look at the figures before talking out your rear orifice.
An enormous and irregular percentage of income going to wages.... Did you see the loss we made!!! Clearly not sustainable and something needed to be done.
I think you will find Liverpools revenue in 2010 and 2011 seasons before the improved commercial deals was £186 and £184 million respectively.Liverpool FC's wagebill peaked at £118 million annually over the same period. So how are my figures widely of the mark
