will rupert murdoch get a look in ?????
Its simple really. Rugby League is the most watched sport on Australian TV so therefore should get the biggest TV deal. Saying that David gallop does not inspire me with confidence at times.
If Rugby League in Australia doesn't get the TV deal it deserves David Gallop should go, pure and simple.
The new independant commision will be looking after things re; t.v rights I'm led to believe but stand corrected and as for the league having the most viewers yes they do, but the design of AFL suits commercials because of all the stoppages along with 4 quarters and is played over 2 hours.......that's a lot of positives to consider even though we in league should be holding the t.v stations by the short & curly's.....
god don't give in please what you do we generally follow and it will turn of all fans from tv and the matches
I wouldn't be surprised to see the day when these grubs from the t.v stations start putting pressure on having 4 X 20minute quarters for there bloody advertising money
its the advertising money that pays the big bucks, and without the big bucks u would be down the local park watching 2nd rate zhite.
It is our game and percession is 9/10ths of the law, if they want to show it, it will cost them plenty.
If they don't then move aside because someone else does..........but don't let them dictate the terms as has happened in the past.
ur right about the past but there are decisions to be made on both sides. best wait and see how it pans out.
The new TV deal could be worth $1.4 billion.

I'd like to think we (the commission) could negotiate a 1 billion package for the NRL season proper plus .4 billion for the semi-finals and 3 origin games.....or there abouts.
news inc still havent signed , and seem reluctant to do so, a paper which contains a non-compete clause. big stumbling block for now.
easy. Allow Fox to show all games live. If people don't want to pay for Fox they suffer the breaks. If not, enjoy an uninterrupted game. As I will be tonight
