Only Liverpool could appoint someone who promptly threatens peoples families with menace 'allegedly that is'

posted on 16/10/12

When the story first came out yesterday most Liverpool fans said it was pure fantasy and they would believe it when they seen it in print in the newspapers.

True to form the story has now been published and they are now saying it's all made up

It'll be Fergusons fault, he'll have no doubt bunged him a few quid to make the entire thing up.

If they don't sue him or issue a strongly worded denial, then it'll tell anyone with an ounce of intelligence all they need to know about it.

So even when you're not on our board and post something on your own, its about us.

This is becoming a problem for you I think phil. I'd seek some help. For your own sanity

jan: it's a slow football day, it's either this or England, & come on lad, this is far more interesting, proper cloak & dagger stuff this. He's been outwitted here though, as this guy has got him banged to rights by the sound of it.

They could easily find out the truth in this case as there will be a trail of correspondence as long as your arm on their systems and if Chang on behalf of Liverpool FC has enlisted a security firm to do checks and follow this character around then there is bound to be a paper trail there.

Be interesting to see how this pans out

I know that Chang has denied that he made the threats, but did he deny meeting him? Because the images published by the Mail appear to show him meeting with 'Duncan'.

Having read the blog post that 'Duncan' wrote, it did seem quite believable. And why would a lifelong LFC fan publish a story like this if it isn't true?

I think it is specifically the conversation that they had in person were the 'threats' were allegedly made. And unless there is a recording of that, Chang will probably be ok.

What I do find interesting is that he asked for a meeting in person, rather than saying what he had to say via email. He's not daft.

The kopites are saying he's not a red, not sure what they're basing this on, or if it's just fabricated deflection.

He's apparently kept very detailed records, has CCTV footage of the meeting, so it sounds like he's been thorough, which is a big effort to go to for a hoax.

Security checks on this individuals family place of work etc would only be done if Chang was looking to menace an individual who after all was only running a blog site.Chang's and Liverpool fc's reputations are not going to improve if their is evidence that this meeting took place

It appears that there is CCTV footage showing the meeting.

It would be great if Chang denies the threats and suddenly a recording of the meeting is produced.Chang and Liverpool have to be careful because they could be caught out in a sting operation if this is what this guys intention is all along

He has said that he was told by friends to record the meeting, but he thought they were going over the top so didn't bother.

changnam style! (sorry had to)

would be very interesting (although) unlikely if duncan did have a recording, if he does though and is withholding it then chang could be done for perjury if he continues to deny it

I think he would have to dent it in court before it became perjury.

im going on the presumption that he takes chang to court for harassment or chang takes him to court for making it up

It'll be interesting to see if Chang was given the go ahead to pursue the character the way he did or he did it on his own. After all if he hired private investigators then someone has paid them their fee and it wouldn't be coming out of Changs own pockets

I think that in the meeting he told Duncan that the expense of finding him had come out of his own pockets. If he has done this, then it sounds like he has gone a bit rogue.

^ as if he'd fund that expense himself, if he did say that, he's covering tracks there.
