Spot on Don
I just had a peek on the Liverpool board as its slow on here today.
Can not believe what I have just seen, they actually think they can make top 4
LAL
Gomes made some great saves doesn't mean we rate him and want him to be number 1, Lloris all the way, top class keeper that will only get better, unfortunately Friedel will only get worse...Simples

didnt you know... a 1-0 home win v reading is a sure sign that they are back
Smack jack god liverpool fans really can be pathetic apart from the odd realistic one like 'redrob' ....a scrappy 1-0 home win v reading and now they getting all excited again. Liverpool have absolutely no chance of coming anywhere near the top 4

It concerns me that the management ae taking so long to make a decision, that will inevitably, have to be made, and that Lloris will replace Friedel. It is this sort of dithering that sets Spurs apart from the rest. We know Friedel is not a bad keeper, but Lloris is frankly a better keeper, end of. If somebody had told me when I first started watching football that a 41 year old American keeper was keeping one of the best goalies in the world sitting on the bench at Spurs, I would have called for the ambulance.
Redrob, looking at the replies i can actually see quiet a few pool fans agreeing with got_better sorry but i like the user got_better but he really is cringeworthy with his blinded optimism, you have not got a chance of breaking the top 4 this season, no way.

Why let the truth come in the way of facts though eh? It'd be like me saying that all Spurs fans last season were lauding it up about how they were going to finish above Arsenal and would be playing CL football this year....wait.
But for a freakish set of circumstances, then Spurs would have been playing CL footie this season. Unfortunately the powers to be could not see it in themselves to bend or change the rules for Spurs like they did for Liverpool. And don`t you think if Liverpool had been 10 points clear of Man United in March, you too would have been lauding it as well. Most normal fans would.

Sandy, there were no rules in place. That was the point. The rules came into play after we got let in.
Rules or no rules, Spurs became the first club to finish top four, since four clubs were entered from England into the CL, to be denied their place.

"You were unlucky, but thems the breaks."
And had 4 weeks AT LEAST, to do something about it and render the CL final irrelevant.
Pity Everton who had no such chance.
There were rules in place...that only 4 teams from each country were allowed. The FA nominated EFC who came 4th, even though LFC were also eligible, as winners.
UEFA bent the rules to allow LFC to enter (as an unheard-of 5th team from England), they enetered at the first qualifying round.
Since then it has been reaffirmed that only 4 teams are permitted and the holder automatically gets a place whether top 4 or not!
I honestly will be so angry if Lloris dosen't start now, i am fed up of letting in goals left, right and centre with friedal in goal. It should of never took this long to get Lloris in as number 1 and i honestly think we would of had more points on board if he was number 1 from the start. If he dosen't play soon then he will be off soon, who can blame him? Pathetic situation to be in when we have a world class keeper in our ranks and we are sticking with a 42 year old.

Don I disagree haha nah only kidding I can't believe it's taken this long either, thought the CFC game would have been the game to take the number 1 spot
Why end Brad's consecutive games record just for 1 match, where Lloris did nothing wrong (apart from one bad throw out that nearly cost us).
I thought Lloris would have got a run to show what he can do!
VANDERBALE, let's hope the chelsea game meant Lloris is now number 1. I don't care who the opposition is, letting in 4 goals is not good enough. Lloris has to start from now on
So what's worse than a keeper that doesn't come of his line??
One that always comes even when he shouldn't and drops drops a fair few... I've seen Lloris do quite a bit of this in the recent past.
Some mentioned on here a couple of days ago about Lloris not being in the best form and his place in the French squad being under real threat. Those comments were accurate...
I'm all for Lloris becoming No. 1 but this Friedel bashing is just ridiculous
i cant believe that after lloris kept our first league clean sheet of the season, he didnt retain his place..

I agree the anti Friedal stuff is becoming annoying! I am 99.9% sure that if we had not have signed Lloris then no one would have been questioning Friedal as much. The fact that we leaked 4 goals due to a very wobbly defence and Brad is being made out as a slow keeper as he didnt save all 4 goals shocks me. I have made this argument a number of times here that I do not believe any of the goals were his fault.
I too will be more than happy to Lloris as our number one keeper, one day soon, but the reasons for asking him to be dropped are not justifiable.
"What do you mean?"
Thought they were kicked out.
They didn't get past the qualifying round.
Anyway, Spurs have no excuses.
There was on paper at least 4 weeks of the season to go before the CL final.
Agree don and there isn't any bashing of brad, I like the guy, just think it is now time to make way, brad was only gonna be good enough for us for so long.
