Jimmy has been impressive pre season and a few on here suggested that a loan would be good for the club and his development I was particulary impressed with him and Crooks.

Spencer looked "decent" against Sheffield, he works hard and is hard to get the ball from, but he needs to work on what he does with the ball while he's on loan. Hopefully he'll come back a better player like Hunt did. If we can loan Crooks and Atkinson out as well it would be great for their development.

Has Simmo actually gone yet? Thought he just made 'available'? Im not his biggest fan but would be nice to see him maybe given a go, but with this 5 sub rule, there isnt the room on the bench anymore for 'maybe' players!

I dunno why the club has not announced it yet but there have been loads wishing Simmo good luck in finding another club on Twitter so my guess is they paid him off Cas & Herb

from what i have heard hes been decent during the pre season and maybe some first team experience in div 2 will do him good, it work for hunt so hopefully it can work for spence

The comments I heard about Spencers performances pre-season suggest that he could be not too far from a place in the starting line up.

I was at Sheffield Kindo and was surprised them two lasted as long on the pitch as they did! Thet were kind words for them from Clark IMO!

Think we are gonna be stuck with him though this season, unless the club pays him off! If I was looking for a striker I wouldn't be looking at him.

He was dreadful, at one point he had someone overlapping and instead of just putting him down the line for a cross he attempted a quick turn of pace which was about as fast as the titanic turning, needless to say their lad just took the ball straight off him. He just looks like a pub league footballer like GTF used to, but GTF had a bit of quality as well.

Lee and Terry were sat very close to the touchline to the right of the Town dugout so it wouldn't surprise me if any of the people behind could hear what they were saying. What was more shocking to me was the gaffers wardrobe - boot cut jeans and a tight looking shirt with some odd jacket - our lass was less than impressed as when she's seen him on the telly he's always been suited and booted.

I on the other hand was wearing shorts sporting my new HTFC tattoo on my leg..... LC had a strange Cardigan & Jeans combo last night at Emley too... Did u go last night Cas ?

Yeah I went last night, wish I hadn't bothered though, I was long gone before we got our "consolation" though, I didn't last long past half time! That match last night will tell you nothing at all about anything that will take place this season. I knew in advance it was a development squad, but why? Why didn't we play a first team seeing as that's the closest pre-season match for Town fans?
