torres could have broken cleverley ribs easily, broken ribs can lead to punctured lungs, so really what im saying is torres is an attempted murderer
A high boot that could have smashed cleverleys face to bits or a nothing tackle where all rooney did was trip a player up?
yes it went towards his chest but if he was shorter........

What annoyed me is we gave up after 3-2.
''Most of the 50-50 decisions, I knew that vague description would make an appearance.''
I'm not going to go through every single decision the referee made. Feel free to view the match again yourself though.
''Rooney's wasn't a dangerous tackle, it was a yellow card tackle you see every single game.''
A high boot does not always warrant a red card. You could also argue, by the letter of the law, that Torres was going for the ball and Rooney was not. A high boot is definitely a booking, but a straight red card? I'm not so sure.
a high boot that smashes into someone's chest with a full set of studs and youre not sure if its worth a red card are you serious?????
Maybe in my blue-tinted way of looking at things Torres was looking to protect himself in the end (when you raise your leg like that to make a challenge at that speed you need to go in full blooded or you risk hurting yourself). But it was a red.
------------------------------------------------------
I seem to remember jamie carragher looking to protect himself against nani in a similar way
Did anyone see MOTD when they highlighted David Luiz phantom elbow?! What a plank!
I couldn't care less anyway, the fact we won against 9 men AND an offside goal at Stamford Bridge is quality.
Couldn't have asked for a better outcome
Some of the Chelsea fans have cited the refs performance as worse than Ovrebo. I think that is a huge exaggeration, but Clattenburg didn't have the greatest of games. Although if he is found guilty of offensive remarks toward the two Chelsea players, then he clearly does have an axe to grind....
So basically, all this outrage is about a Torres yellow card, even though he could have easily been sent off in the first half. Plus some 50-50s nobody can remember going our way...
Brilliant.
Every 50/50 went uniteds way yeah right! The fact 2 stonewall pens weren't given seems to have been forgotten in your tiny little brain!!!

Smashes into his chest?! It was his arm! And yes it was a late challenge, which is why it was a booking. Not a red though.

chelsea should be happy that torres is only banned for one game when he should be banned for 3 games
I can only imagine the outrage had it been Cleverley on Torres.
BIAS!! BURN STUFF!!!
My god gazes now that's blue tinted specs, it was an awful challenge and an easy red card!

And this is the epitome why you can't have a debate with most United fans. They simplify the argument and then ignore incidents as if they didn't happen. Incredible.
i cant believe youve just put the picture up and you still dont think it was a red card, it was a challenge worthy of stoke city and their team of thugs, it was a shocker and a certain red card, there is no defending that tackle, what would you say if RVP had done that to cazorla samir??
Earl Brutus I never actually saw that challenge.

Carraghers was on nani's shin but all the same it was dangerous,
scratch that, carraghers was downright malicious.

The arm he hit is across his chest. Look where the ball is in your picture compared to where Torres is kicking. In years to come that'll be a spot the ball and no-one will get it
He actually hits Cleverley in the arm. Cleverley gets up holding his arm.

because he arm was protecting his chest, which would have taken the full force of torres flying karate kick had he not been protecting himself

Laughing at the outrage aside...
