We have to do more than 'keep it up'.
We were exceptionally lucky at Liverpool and Chelsea, and we shouldn't be relying on good fortune or bad refereeing decisions.
Bad refereeing decisions?
I thought they were excellent.
The treble is on, hopefully we strengthen in January and buy a midfielder
Take into account our defenders are finally coming back, RVP and Kagawa has had to adapt plus `players such as Nani, Anderson have yet to hit form, I tihnk we have done tremedously well in the CL and PL
We are a strange side at the moment. There is reason for optimism, but there is also cause for concern.
De Gea still doesn't convince me. For every spectacular save he makes, he flaps at a cross or saves with his feet when he could save with his hands, like other goalkeepers.
The defence is shambolic at times, and we seem content to let players run at us (the Spurs game being a classic example) until it's too late to do anything about it.
And then there's our midfield, and the fact that we don't have a settled first team, or even a settled system.
Good job I'm an eternal optimist.
Agreed Jalisco. They were 6 very fortunate, but very important points.
We need to build on this and improve our performances. If we do that we should win the title.
I wouldn't be too bothered about a couple of early cup exits if it means we can focus on the league.
Would love to win the FA Cup, but the league should be our priority.
City look all but out of the CL now. This gives them a big advantage as I think it will be tight once again.
Chelsea may be in a similar situation to them if they fail to beat Shaktar and Juve.
I'm hoping united get what's needed against braga, qualify while Chelsea and city fight to the last minutes against Juve and Dortmond..... United can rest players prior the derby.
United can rest players prior the derby.
and hopefully play 1 or 2 of our reserve players
I can't even take satisfaction from City's likely Champions League exit, because a.) it might help their Premier League ambitions and b.) I don't agree with this whole system of putting them in the hardest pot/group just because they haven't got a good record in Europe. They're the champions of England, for God's sake – they should be top seeds.
I just want to laugh at City, and I can't. Life is cruel.
We don't need a midfielder. Good options are there, we just need to the manager to select the correct teams and not play silly formations or unnecessarily play players out of position. The fate of United lies in the hands of the manager and his team selections. I agree with OP, though, even though playing some generally awful stuff we have come through some very tough games. On a purely points gained basis I am really pleased with where we are.
If United can get their defenders fit (and keep them fit ) I think they will win the league.
Oh and keep Giggs and Scholes from starting games too
I just want to laugh at City, and I can't
....
I find it very easy.
I just want to laugh at City, and I can't

Laugh at Liverpool instead
swings and roundabouts, last year we deserved the win at the bridge didnt get it, and this year we played alot pooer at anfield than last year but managed 3 points, our opening fixtures have been the hardest in the league and it looks good
There is little joy in laughing at Liverpool, either. I thought they were unlucky at the weekend.
I can't stop laughing at Bubbles, never have I seen anyone have a nervous breakdown like him
We've got a pretty good run of fixtures up until Xmas. City and Swansea away being the toughest of the ties. I didn't include Arsenal as I cannot remember the last time the for anything at Old Trafford. Having said that, all sorts of records are being broken this season so there is hope for them getting a draw.
I think the seeding for the CL is great. City's group has been a fantastic watch this season. Same with Chelsea, getting the champions of Italy.
Scholes, Giggs and Sir Alex for playing them are the only people standing in the way of our chances this season. Play a more energetic midfield, get Smalling in for Rio, stick to a goalkeeper, play with some form of width whether it be a 442/4231 or a 451, don't start players that cannot run anymore, and I will pity the rest of the league, for we will be brilliant.
scholes is vital for our title chances
scholes is vital for our title chances

Yeah vital that he doesn't start.
He can still come off the bench to change a game but he should not be starting.
Literally gave up on life
Agree Kagawa. If our squad can be utilised properly I think we will have so much in attack that we should win the league. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Don't fancy our chances in the CL though. Wouk be thrilled if we can get as far as the semis.
I was just having a look at the fixtures we've had and comparing them to Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City up until now.
I did not realise how easy City have had it so far, we've definitely had it the hardest with:
Everton - Away
Liverpool- Away
Tottenham- Home
Newcastle- Away
Chelsea- Away
Arsenal have had quite a hard run in to:
Stoke - Away
Liverpool - Away
Man City - Away
Chelsea - Home
