We face a lot discrimination and abuse in this country on a daily basis, most of us are used to it, it comes with the colour, its like being 10ft tall, people must stare and throw things at you.
Its not easy to complain or report to the authorities that you've been abused, infact its easier to take it in the chin and move on, no need putting yourself in the spotlight, but then its even a bigger slap in the face if you complain and get ignored or you are denied justice because the authorities think you complained because your team lost, I really feel for Mikel, just thinking of what he must be passing through brings tears to my eyes...
Justice must prevail.
And on top of that the timing of it is bad for us as well.
Mikel has improved his game recently and slowly adapting to our new style. If it's true then MC must be the worst ref ever. Not only got all the decisions wrong but abused our players as well. Poor Mikel.
I just hope all this doesn't affect his performance cos he's a key player for us.
even if its at the heat of the moment
---------------
That's not an excuse. If he's found guilty which I think he'll be then MC should be severely punished.
abuse on a daily basis? im black and get none of this, and to be honest i dont really care. People over react to racism generally, calling mikel a 'monkey' is no worse than calling a ginger person 'carrot top'. But if Clattenburg really was abusive, he should be dismissed. I just cant believe he would be so unproffesional
he should be paraded around like terry for the world t see before he is eventually dismissed.
===============================================================
Dismissed? Terry wasn't dismissed
How would you feel if you were abused you wouldn't even be able to train properly. His head will be everywhere. I just hope Mikel can get through all this and concentrate on his game.
5 stars. We stand by Mikel. We want justice! JUSTICE!
Arsenalsmartie, you might notice tha abuse and discrimination anymore because you have grown a thick skin, a very thick one. Its different for someone who wasn't born here, who came here to earn a living, you end to notice the stares more
*you tend to notice the stares more
Don't worry Wiwa. I know you can get through it. Be strong.
Surely its bound to affect his game, he might not even be able to eat for a while, he has put himself ina bigger spot light, he has just shown the world that his skin isn't as thick as it should be, mybe he shouldn't have complained, maybe it was a mistake to do so, he will only be justified if his complaints exposes and eliminates one more racist from the game, imo.
I think Mikel didn't complain himself and might have been Ramires. That's why I like Rami he couldn't take it and stood up for Mikel. Again signs of a true leader and undoubtedly our future captain.
Thx Kurdistan, I will try to remain strong, at least for the sake of my family, I would dash back home if things were better in my country, thats how bad it is.
Yes Rami appears stronger, which is a good thing, it takes a bold and fearless person to speak up, yes, Rami could be a true leader in future, especially in a multi ethnic club like Chelsea.
We used to have Drogba to look after our players but now there's no one and our players get abused by MC
I urge Chelsea fans to rate this article 5 stars to show our support for Ramires and Mikel.
I need to stop now, my emotions are overwhelming me, Its almost morning and I need to think straight and right to face the day, but I have to admit, situations like this make me feel strange in this land. I hope something is done, something tangible and quickly too, I fear for childrens future.
Some folks are rating 1 , I hope its the 1* bandit because if its not then its sadenning but not surprising. Hopefully, someday, like MC, their day would come.
This has to be a wind up. Mikel wont be able to train or eat? Ok.

I must admit I cannot work out if this article is a sarcastic windup.
Personally, I feel that racism has largely gone from our game, and have a horrible suspicion that much of the motivation behind allegations of racial abuse is very similar to players using any opportunity to wave the imaginary red card. In this case, it's the 'race card' - but it's still gamesmanship, getting an advantage. If you can get a rival player sent off for 5 games, that's quite an advantage.
True, it's more difficult to see the advantage in this case. Sour grapes? Maybe in playing the victim, referees will find it harder to penalise black players in future?
One solution would be to record the conversations between referees and players. They do this in French rugby, and it's hilarious. I would love to hear these grown men whinging like spoiled toddlers.
I honestly feel that it's very easy to exaggerate emotional damage for gain. Off his food, unable to train?!
If you look at the games in Serbia, then it's pretty clear we no longer have a serious problem with racism here. There are foul exceptions, of course, and you cannot condone or ignore the occasional outburst of primitive behaviour and attitudes. But that's what it is, occasional, not an epidemic that is ruining our beautiful game.
1 from me, reasons why, Mikel only deserves justice if its proven MC abused him at the moment MC is an innocent man, and I'm not sure if the Op is for real!
