Amazing how United fans used to think he was average and now all of a sudden he's world class. He's always been a top player, it's just conveniently now that he's signed for you, you've changed your view on him.
If he'd signed elsewhere you'd call him an injury prone .

Always rated him at Arsenal, and always put him at the top of the list of premiership strikers, during the Rooney, RVP, Torres, Drogba debates. Barring injury he would have a truly phenomenal record. Looks at home in the united shirt, delighted we have him.
You are a one man team now, it also goes to show how much better he is than any other player you have.
Until he actually wins trophies at United, i don't think you guys should be bragging, he was great for us too, & scored bucket loads in between injuries, dont count your chickens before they hatch!
And we've got a potential world beater in Gervinho, i think you guys should buy him, i believe he's available for £12.5M, a steal if you ask me
United fans weren't being fickle, they are just thick as fúck and rate shít players like Jones, Hernandez and Ashley Young so it is no surprise they never rated RVP
Wasn't we a one man team last season? And the season before? We haven't sold our best players so wouldn't we be a 2 man team now?
Maybe my maths are wrong...

I'm sure Nasri was world class when he played for your lot, then, when he signed for City, you all saw what everyone knew...
---
Not really the point though, is it?
Point is that we know when our top players have good quality and yet you lot only seem to recognise their talent when they leave for another club. I can recall seeing loads of United fans saying ''We don't need Robin, he's injury prone...one good season...'' yet now you're all waxing lyrical over him (understandably so).
Where have I ever called Nasri world class? I assume you have evidence to back this up? He was one of my favourite players yes and I was disappointed he went to City. But I never once called him world class.

I called Nasri world class when he was at Arsenal and I stand by that statement. When he's at his best, there's few better players around. He's so good technically and finishes like a striker. Brilliant player but one that can definitely improve.
Yeah. Congrats Young for tearing apart a League One standard defender (at the time) who was thrown straight into the deep end at Old Trafford.
We will beat United on Saturday. Bookmark

Very wide from the mark. I don't think anybody ever suggested he wasn't a talent, he was just always injured and it took too long for Wenger to play him as the number 9.
One full season as a number 9 and look what happens....

That is the difference b/w Utd and Arsenal.
Most of the Utd fans think that he was/is not the priority for us when we signed him.
We already had 2 top strikers and 2 very good ones.
But he was available and wanted to come to us(City offered him 300kpw according to Arsene), so we are very happy with his performances and the fact he has adapted so quickly.
U think Utd fans underrate him, its like saying Arsenal fans underrate Drogba.
RVP always scored against us, as SAF said he was always a problem and now he no longer is.

Young isn't class...he's crap.
Hernandez is a good finisher...other than that he's poor, but he seems to be improving a little bit.

Yes they were, and those of us with Hal a brain cell agree with Sir Alex, turning down a top available player would be stupid.
I'd add, the only reason Utd fans slated RVP's talent was due to the Rooney vs RVP articles which were ruining this board.
Even Tevez didn't do a "Tevez" on us...
If that helps you sleep at night, then why not
''I assume you have evidence of me calling RVP average?''
Was I addressing you as an individual? I was talking about United fans as a collective.
And to be honest, you've just implied that people on here find it hard to be objective when they talk about other team's players.
''U think Utd fans underrate him, its like saying Arsenal fans underrate Drogba.''
Ok, before last season, would any of you have wanted van Persie at Arsenal? I really do doubt it. And even before we agreed terms to sell him to you, some of you weren't keen on his coming to United.
Drogba was a world class forward. It's a shame about his petulant diving because he had everything you wanted in a forward. But most Arsenal fans knew this anyway. Probably because he got 13 goals in 13 games against us.
I don't need help sleeping at night, I have my RVP teddy to keep me safe.
