Ok, before last season, would any of you have wanted van Persie at Arsenal? I really do doubt it.
With his injury record, no!! Last season was the first time he able to both stay injury free and PROVE his talent on a consistent basis.

''I assume you have evidence of me calling RVP average?''
Was I addressing you as an individual? I was talking about United fans as a collective.
Where have I ever called Nasri world class? I assume you have evidence to back this up? He was one of my favourite players yes and I was disappointed he went to City. But I never once called him world class.
Chose to think he was picking on you as an individual in that point though? Clearly the same thing.

Still up for debate to be honest. In and around the box RVP is magnificent, but Rooney has more to his game. I'm chuffed to have both to be honest.

wanted van Persie at Arsenal? I really do doubt
it. And even before we agreed terms to sell him
to you, some of you weren't keen on his coming
to United.
..........
I wrote an article as soon as he said he wanted out, saying Fergie would be silly to not go for him. A few United fans dismissed it saying he would be a huge gamble at that price with his injury record, plus we really wanted a midfielder to be bought. All fair enough reasons.

Although someone was worried about Welbeck being dropped
I had to check that article to see if I posted anything about RVP being overrated.

I hope he doesnt stay injury free for long enough for you to see, but the only thing Rooney has over RVP is work rate.
RVP is superior in every other way but its all about opinions
I do almost feel sorry for Arsenal fans though, could have a nice team if you kept your players.
Saying that Wilshere would be a wonderful signing for us.
What about Wilshere vs Cleverley?
Do you guys still have any doubts?!?!?

Not true, unless of course you wok rate you mean every single physical attribute, heading an vision. Te technical aspects, RVP wins hands down.

At the moment, Cleverley > Wilshere.
Wilshere has been sidelined for almost 2 years, if he comes back as he left, he is far better than Tom, but we don't know how this injury has effected him.
@ Busbybabes
Dont feel sorry for us mate, we're used to not winning anything!
Your decline is imminent, i know you wont accept it but its getting closer, you cant compete with Arab or Russian money, SAF is getting older.
Without the purchase of RVP this season you would be struggling both offensively and defensively(still possible if RVP gets injured )
A serious injury to Van Persie would be a victory for football.
A hat-trick from RVP would be a victory for football
Was Ramsey's injury a victory for football? It's up for debate.
Our decline has been in motion since 1996
@ Busbybabe:
I'll give you work rate and heading but Vision?!? Hell no.

He did more in 1 game than Cleverley has done in the last 2 years
I jest but cmon guys, its fairly obvious that Wilshere's better, you guys sound like Spurs fans still being adamant that Lennon is better than Theo
It's like an Arsenal fan telling you that Gervinho is better than A.Young/Valencia, he's score more and has more assists(i think)
When its fairly obvious he's not
A broken leg for RVP would be nice
So many bitter goooonies on this thread. He left to join a big club. He was trying to progress in his career.
I would understand if he left to join Spurs as they are on your level but this anger is misplaced
The best contribution of this thread came from my fellow german friend Hippo.
id have a wilshere with no legs over tom cleverley.
As I said, if Wilshere can re-gain his old form from a couple of seasons ago, he is far batter than Tom, but to touch yourself over a 60 minute appearance is stupid.
