A very good defensive performance from us today I felt, the only disappointment was from the two wide men. Young, Valencia and Nani have by their standards been under performing for a few games now.
we gifted you the first goal so 1-1 would have been a fair scoreline.

A point from a game you were barely part of would have been fair?

...... have you and Wenger pitched in on a job lot of Special Brew?

Harsh on Valencia I feel. He was a constant threat and pulled back a few balls on the edge of the area that other players went on to waste. He wasn't fantastic I agree but he played well enough for me.
Young was wasteful and Nani didn't have much time to do a lot really.
I dread to think of the stick Nani would get if he put in the kind of the performance young did today. Fergie clearly has it in for Nani at the moment, because he is by far the better player. It's not even close.
we both scored 1 good goal each so yes.
Arsenal made two big defensive errors and utd capitalized, other wise they too were poor.
How shizt is Valencia, can't score at all. Arsenal were more clinical, and that is saying something about how bad utd attack was.

I agree with you. Nani has by far the most talent.
But I don't think the talent is the issue with Nani. It's the other side of the game that lets him down. His constant poor decision making, his lazy sloppy passes and not tracking back enough that get him in trouble with the boss.
He has all the ability in the world but I think he himself is his own biggest enemy. From the sublime to the ridiculous far too often.
But I agree....I'd still rather see him on our left than Young.

Nan bread, well done, buying ref's is the way forward for sure. Fergie knew utd would crumble under pressure, wonder how much he paid the ref to send of Jack for a legit tackle?

All things I saw from young today, and have seen pretty regularly throughout his united career.
I can't help but feel Nani is sometimes a victim of his own talent. So much more is expected of him than Valencia or young, and as a result he gets more stick when not playing well.
Nani not tracking back is a myth. He's always there defending

.....
Legit? How did you work that one out?
It makes me laugh that the biggest bunch of sissies in the game are trying to claim that was a legit challenge. Double standards much?
Scholes gets away with those tackles don't he? So did Cleverly.

13 shots to 7.
6 on target to 2.
Ref got everything spot on today.
To try and blame him for the loss after a pathetic performance is quite embarrassing.

I think you might be right bloodred.
We probably do have higher expectations of Nani than the other two. And that's simply because as fans we know he has the talent. He just has to cut out the sloppy and inconsistent side to his game. Wednesday night being the most recent example. 93rd minute and he tries a ridiculous pass instead of keeping ball. He just doesn't have a great football brain for me despite his talent.
And while we're on the subject....never really been a big fan of Youngs anyway.Like I said above, as frustarting as Nani can be, I'd still rather watch him than Young any day of the week.
Hernandez has now scored 3 against Chelsea this week

By Valencia's standards he had a poor game, because usually he is very good. I feel as if he could have exploited Santos a little more than he did especially with Podolski offering little cover on that side, also coupled with his miss in the second half I feel he was poor or not as good as I he could have been.
As for Nani I was referring to his recent games, because I feel at the moment none of our wingers are at the top of their game.
Valencia was up against Santos who is a very poor left back. Despite getting into good positions, he didn't use the ball well enough and wasted one or two very good opportunities to counter attack.
Valencia at his best would have torn Santos a new one. My god that guy is awful (Santos, not Valencia)
