Keane got slaughtered against chelsea

Don't know what game you watched, but he was fantastic against Chelsea. It was his partner Wooton that let him down at the last minute when a penalty was conceded to Chelsea. Keane was quality in that game.

Agree with RVP's left foot. Michael Keane stepped up and took leadership when Wootton started to slack. He's such a good prospect and so is Lingard, it will be good for them both to get their first taste of loan action.

Keane was decent against Chelsea in my opinion. Lingard is a very exciting prospect but I can't see him getting game time when we simply have so many other options in his position.
To be honest they look decent players but I can't see them becoming world beaters

shows how little people actually watch, before they post sheite on here

keane was very good against Chelsea, it wasnt until extra time that fitness took its toll.

lets not forget, he was up against sturridge, mata, hazard and oscar during that game.

reserve player of the year last season, and rightly so.

Keane looked top class vs Chelsea, it was Wooton who didn't have best of games. (As guys said above)

I agree Keane was quality against basically the Chelsea first team. Lingard is very exciting, could be something special.

A loan move in the championship would be great for both IMO, is this a rumour or any truth in it?

I'd prefer we got some experience in to be honest, our squad is so young which is great in terms of energy and commitment but when things aren't going our way we don't have anyone that can really get us going, like Wellens used to.

However I wouldn't be disappointed to get these lads in, only need to look at the quality we've got from United in the past with Cleverly and now Drinkwater and James.

Could really do with an experienced Prem striker though but finding one that will put in the effort is another story!!

It's looking true, Sky Sports are reporting it right now.

Yep, Keane was quality... and that was against the likes of Hazard, Mata and Oscar. Don't let the scoreline convince you otherwise, he was top quality and he is a rock in reserves. You have a hell of a player, if the deal is true.

Lingard is a tricky little player fast, full of skill and has an eye for goal and can link up play. He is comfortable on both wings or as an AMF. He is tiny though, so might get bashed about a bit in the championship.

Arrofox - you should take Bebe on loan. I know people make fun of the kid, but play him as a striker and I promise you he will get you bags of goals, his record speaks for itself.

Bebe is genuinely good. Just the nature of his transfer has ruined his reputation

Good shout imo.

yeah, to be fair bebe looks good for the reserves on a regular basis.

never been given a chance in the first team in his favoured central role, but has still chipped in with a few goals.

This is excellent news for Michael and Jesse. I'm always banging on about how our best reserve players should be going out on loan and playing competitive league football and this is a very good level for them both to playing at.

I thought however that Leicester had a pretty big squad so I'm a bit worried as to much game time they'll actually get. Maybe you would be able to answer that for me OP? What's your squad situation at the moment?

Also now on the BBC website, must be true, IMO this is goods news. Still need a "fox in the box"

The red side....quite the opposite!! We are a few short and with one cb injured and his replacement suspended, keane could go straight in tomorrow! And we are short up front too so Jesse may get his chance tomorrow too!

That is brilliant news then.

If you're needing a striker, then I'm surprised that Macheda hasn't been mentioned because he really needs a good loan spell behind him, preferably in English football. He's looked quite good this season even though he's only been playing for the U-21s but he's scored 6 in 6.

If it's not too much trouble, could one of you maybe keep us up to date from time to time with how Jesse and Michael are getting on?

If this is true, these guys sound like good signings (particularly this Keane for our situation) and also give a hint about possible formations.

Keane would go straight into the squad and would probably start tomorrow if he's here in time. He would be /at least/ on the bench for Saturday, possibly even starting alongside big Wes.

Assuming that we're getting Lingard as someone who can play as a winger or an AM, this suggests that we're getting someone else to fit into the "3" of a 4-2-3-1 formation. This is what I'd prefer to see us playing, and going for the opposition again, even away from home against Bolton.

Just pop back to our page after tomorrow's game and if either have played there will be a update, failing that try again on sat after the game!

Red side - Just pop on and ask; I'm sure someone will answer you.

Ok thanks guys.

I see your game is live on Sky Sports on Saturday. I'll maybe just watch that and record our academy game.

Your not wrong there! We are benefiting from your youth, Drinkwater is a super signing for us! James needs another season to get going.

You lot have 3 of our former youth players there, Drinkwater, Matty James and De Laet. How are they all getting on?

posted on 5/11/12

Drinkwater's been one of the best players this season (although he's had a couple of bad ones recently for some reason). Always wants to get his foot on the ball and dictate play and this seems to be his strength.

James hasn't played as much as he would have liked, but Drinkwater and Andy King have been playing well in central midfield so it's a case of being kept out by good performances elsewhere. When he has played, he's been tidy but not always that noticeable. He probably needs more time to settle into the league.

De Laet seems to split opinion. I like him; he can make some pretty devastating runs going forward and I think he's got the pace to deal with many difficult wingers in this league. He does have a rather lazy style about him and occasionally seems to lose concentration and play suicidal passes. Some Leicester fans will say they're not convinced about him defensively but I think he's been sound so far. He also seems to collect yellow cards and injuries rather easily and has already had brief layoffs and a 1-match ban in is short time here. Against Brighton he had to go of because he was having chest pains that turned out to be a pulled muscle. So in brief, certainly a character.

Overall, I think they're all decent signings and I hope we get to see more out of Matty James, who will hopefully learn how to stamp his will on games more like Drinkwater does.
