very very worried as to where we could finish this season .....
ynwa
--------------
We'll finish between 6th-10th. Did you expect anything else?
no , but i thought we be at least winning enough games to challenge ....
the way its going we could finish 13th

Some people are expecting too much. We could still make it but people expecting it may end up disappointed.
There is no way we are going to finish outside the top 10.
People were saying the same last season, and the season before.
Also, people get worried about players leaving every season, but Suarez, Agger and Skrtel for example all recently signed new deals.
Suarez is very happy here, and there are only so many clubs in world football who could afford him, and most of those don't need him at this moment.
We will be in the top 8 at the end of December, mark my words.
and that greatteams is the single one thing that worries me as a liverpool fan.....
if something happens luis , then liverpool fc have no recognised striker in the premier league
and that is just hilarious
honest , im one of those liverpool fans
truth is we don't have depth and are lacking in certain areas like strikers... Errors also being made with the new system. No manager can change a team in a few months unless they have unlimited resources. Simple answer is, we have to be patient and let it all happen. Hopefully we can improve in Jan, and start winning the games we should, that's all we can start to expect in time.

I don't understand how anyone can watch the style we're playing and not think we're headed in the right direction.
It takes time for the results to catch up is all.
I think people underestimate the pull playing this type of football has on players we'll go after in the transfer market as well.
Contracts mean nothing, you should know this by now.
Not worth the paper the're written on.
However,a good team an success is sure to make them want to stay, who'd have ever thought torres would end up at chelsea??
I'm not one for buying into this,"there's no value in january" well that depends on who you're after, and wether you've done you're homework properly, luis suarez was bought in and he's more than been justified the fee.
FSG have'nt all been bad,but they really must start getting this club to punch it's weight again before it's too late,i shudder to think where we'd be if it was'nt for some of luis performances this year, and if he gets suspended for a game or two,or god forbid picks up any knocks,we're well sk-rewed having to rely on 17/18 year old's who have'nt fully formed physically yet!
Value or not,FSG will show us their full hand in january, and i don't think some will like it,and for some reason people think it's gonna be all ok come the summer window.
I have genuine doubts unfortunately.
OP.
Are you serious, you expected us to at least be challenging? Come on kid, get real
People who say 'contracts mean nothing' don't understand contracts.
All our top players are on long term deals.
Even of any of them want to leave (zero evidence to suggest they will), we will demand big big fees for players on long contracts.
It's very simple.
Matches till end of December based on performance this season:
Chelsea V Liverpool - loss
Liverpool V Wigan - win
Swansea V Liverpool - win
Tottenham V Liverpool - draw
Liverpool V Southampton - win
West Ham V Liverpool - draw
Liverpool V Aston Villa - win
Liverpool V Fulham - win
Stoke V Liverpool - draw
QPR V Liverpool - win
21 points from these IMO and it'd send us near the top 4. And with players coming in afterwards we could see better performance and result.

We've only lost 3 this season and two of the losses came against top teams.
Wishful thinking,if we'd of won this,if we had'nt of lost that,if the ref did this,if the linesman had'nt of done that.
And contracts don't mean jack,if a player becomes dissolusioned,it's not unheard of to drop form or refuse to play if teams come sniffing, don't be so naive.we have been victims of this ourselves not too long ago.
The're aint no substitute for challenging, some don't want to wait until doomsday to see improvement, that's the reality today.
You want the best for ya club as i do,b

It's not naive, it's reality.
If Suarez in the summer decides he wants to leave Liverpool he will cost £40m plus, because he is on a long contract.
Agger, £25m
Skrtel £20m
Etc etc.
As I said, no evidence that any of those players are not committed to the club.
You say ifs and buts are pointless but are happy to use them when being negative.
We are playing decent enough football and not putting our chances away, nothing new there. We have had some poor luck (Everton) and some silly mistakes, but as it stands we are 6 points from 4th.
With the run of games coming up I can honestly see us getting closer to 4th by Jan rather than further away.
What happens in that transfer window will be massive either way.

Thats because winning games and challenging is different to each individual players attitudes or desires.
I could say,i like you this week, then next week i might not, just because something is now not working out between us,same goes for results and personal ambitions.

Name me one player who has stayed with a club after publically saying they want out.
That's why contracts mean nothing. Maybe in the real world, not in football. Contracts are only there to insure the club gets a reasonable price on the player.
