I thought it was a good thread polite, I was interested in seeing who we could realistically sign to improve us but unfortunately it went way off target as a lot of threads do on this board!!

Great thread, awful comments, was going to get our gang to have look but it would be pointless! Just for the record, I thought you lot would be doing a lot better!

I think the difference is Grayson! Dave Jones has failed in the big games with Cardiff year after year, where as Grayson delivered in the big games for Blackpool, L666ds and Town!

All town did was cash in on Rhodes, and use the money to bring in new players and a few quality experienced loanees..Lynch, Southern, Clayton, also Scannell, Gerrard, Norwood and loanees Vaughan, Beckford and Hammill..and now Church..that means our bench is quite strong now too...The players are there, but what Grayson has done is bring in lads who seemlessly slot into the playing style..Am sure DJ will have you climbing up the table very soon, I hope so...you deserve to be in the Championship at least. Good luck ..

we can mix it up..long stuff, short stuff and we dont just go down the wide areas..

the two big defeats in a row didnt faze the team and the manager.. we havent done anything different to get two wins and a draw in the last 3 games..


we can win games this season without everyone having to have a good game..

we dont rely on set pieces and long throws..

the 8 million quid is earmarked for january..the players know this, as it gets closer i think the "personal performances" will get better and better... southern at the moment might be what i would call the only guranteed "starter"...clayton if he keeps up the last couple might join him but the addition of a couple of frontmen another midfielder and a utility defender leaves the rest open to question..

Long term, Jones will turn things around,

Before the season started, I would have expected the two teams here to have been in exactly the opposite positions at this stage.
Town are doing well, & ...Am I the only one who thinks they can & maybe should be doing better !

In the long run, Wednesday will come on stronger.

Wednesday were superb at our place last season so I'm not sure DJ had to make as many additions as he has.

Like most of my fellow Town fans I'm sure the rot will stop soon enough for you.

The only thing I would take exception with would be the 'Jones is better than Grayson' argument......no, no, nooooooo!

That's 7 players who started on Saturday that weren't Town players when we got promoted last season. I therefore wouldn't say you lot dismantling your squad was any different to us doing so. Difference perhaps is we've brought in a couple of "leaders" who really help the rest of the signings who are quite young.

I'm not complaining though, Grayson has done an unbelievable job and continues to get the big decisions right more often than not (sooo many deluded folk thought selling Rhodes would see us relegated, but we're a much better unit without him). I fully expect Wednesday to be a Championship team again next season though - Barnsley and Bristol City are certainties for the drop based on what I've seen, you just need to make sure you're not with them.

Its just further proof that DJ has signed the wrong players, esp in Attack and Defence. The first 3 games of the sason we lined up pretty much the same line up as last season apart from McCabe who came in for Lines, I just wish in a way we had kept the same team (although the injury to R Johnson couldnt be helped) as we had the same momentum from last season carried on from last season, I just wish he had spent the money he had provided on a quality CB to replace Batth another winger and a striker who is proven at this level, I think on top of McCabe and maybe Barkley, they were all we needed I think, and that way we wouldnt have disrupted things too much and I cannot help that we would be furthr up the table than we are now!

Firstly, its great to see good comments from the Huddersfield fans. I dont know a great deal about the Huddersfield team other than the signings they made and where they are in the league. Its nice to get a bit of insight into whats going right and as Terrier1987 points out, the Huddersfield team is alot different to last year so my belief that that Dave Jones' brought in to many is wrong.

Im fine with been wrong about that, but what troubles me is the question of whether DJ can get this team sorted. I think he can and at the very least I hope he can. I think he has to really because there is no way MM is letting us go down lightly and he will give Jones the chop as soon as relagtion truly stares him in the face.

Maybe Milan fancies renewing his acquaintance with 'Arry........?

Solskjaer has been linked with good jobs across Europe, and only last season rejected the chance to manage Villa. I don't think he'd drop down to the Championship to manage Wednesday, he'll wait around for a "big" job.

Was just about to say that Cas! Bright young thing is OGS, think his next move will be to a big European side.

Careful what you wish for though Wednesday fans, Lee Clark might be unemployed about the same time as Jones, then you would really have cause to panic
