Henrik there is nothing saying a altenative body cant come in and offer an alternative top division
This looks like Longmuir trying to become the Grand Poobah of Scottish football.
New governing body, new rule book?

The cost of opening Ibrox and Celtic Park every week in place of every second week will not be covered by attendances at these colt games.
But they wont, Clyde are leaving Broadwood soon and the Dumbarton stadium is getting left vacant soon, these will be worthwhile sites to attain
Both teams would need even more coverage in squad size in order not to jeopardise their first team. It simply will not be agreed by either Rangers or Celtic.
Good comeback for players after Injury or just out of shadow, yet 80% of the team should be under 23's
Also, the fans will not stump up any more cash. When these teams last had reserve sides, entry to those games was free with a season ticket.
You offer cheap as shizz family tickets, a family of four £20
And who says that the SPL will even entertain discussion? I doubt it.
They have no choice they are fecked!
You could play games anywhere. It's the attitude that needs sorted. As usual my idea is best.
Great idea. Colts should be 4th tier U23 footballers. 3rd should be a 'pyramid' league and 2 pro leagues of 16+ teams in each.
Good idea Mordor, but how id ye sort out the 3rd as pyramid?

"Why the feck do Stirling or Dundee have two clubs?"
Stirling only has one team I thought.

I don't imagine they'll use either stadium for reserve games, they'll continue to use what they do just now in all probability.

The SPL will discuss or die even quicker

3rd-
Highland, junior, semi-pro. Maybe even regional.
Assuming its actually a reseve side but term colt is suggestive of a young side. Just cant see that being practical and expect there still to be an u20 team also.
who knows Ging
what we cant do is nowt
the SFL have ideas they may be flawed in part, but at least they are trying.
"Not sure if they can Bluenose.
They'll have to have a minimum standard, even if it is 3rd division standard. To be fair, you guys already qualify for that "
Well we use Auchenhowie for reserve games, which I'd imagine would still be suitable. No idea where you use/used.
We have next-gen as well.
Another thing I am wondering is will the "b" teams be able to be promoted. Pretty sure they can be in other leagues that run this type of thing but have a ceiling where they cannot enter the top division.
That just brought to mind how do leagues deal with such should through relegation or promotion that the A and B sides ending up in the same division

The "B" team will be able to be promoted, but they can't be promoted into a division which is occupied by the "A" team. If an "A" team is relegated, the "B" team is also relegated, irregardless of league position.
That's how it works in Spain anyway.

Its what happened this year anyway in Spain when Villareal were relegated. I'm sure Germany operates a system like it as well. Knowing our authorities, they'd allow both to be promoted in order to keep their 4 Glasgow derbies a season.
Out of curiosity mate do you know if hypothetically it would then be possible for the B team to be higher than the A team. Also if memory serves me right isnt it the case that players can alternate between the two sides during the same season
