Like it! Far better than the team avb will go with.
It'll be,
Friedel, walker, gallas, caulker, vertonghen, lennon, sandro, huddlestone, bale, Dempsey and ade.
if its dempsey again i will hit the roof
I don't have a roof I hit it too many times last weekend and now it's broken
someone get messiah a roof !! he might get cold
My kind of team! Fair enough if he doesnt play 4-4-2 (the formation I like) as long Ade plays with Defoe then the majority will be happy

Number 8, he will get criticised if packs the midfield like we did against City and didnt go for it again
At least we went for it, rather than soak pressure like we have done so for the last few games (Maribor as an exception), then we aint gonna chance of winning. Even if we play Ade as deep then im happy, lets be fair we havent got any other options at the moment and we may as well just go for it

number-eight.
he will be criticised if we're winning 2-0 and under a bit of pressure, he brings on a defender to sure up the defence a bit.
he will be criticised if we're 2-0 and he takes off a defender and brings on a striker only to go 3-0 down
==================
Point i: It depends what the minute of the game is, whether we deserve our lead, whether we look like scoring a 3rd etc. Lets not just shore it up for the sake of it.
Point 2: Again, it depends on certain circumstances. But i would certainly expect us to play more offensively if we need to score. If we dont already have 2 up front, then do it. If we already have 2 up top, then try something else (like going 3 at the back). Taking off our biggest goal threat whilst losing can never be a good thing.

Surely any half decent manager wouldn't start Dempsey again this weekend? After so many poor performances he has to be dropped.
true
I dont think Dempsey has been any less effective than Vertonghen, since playing out of position at LB. This is what generally happens if you dont play players to their strengths.
Also, i think Dempsey could get the nod because of his height.
what height? siggy is taller...
If Tom Carroll is better than Sigurdsson, then it shouldnt matter if its Arsenal or shrewsbury, give him some playing time and let him get the experience in big games at an ealy age
----
hes not though.
siggy has played for a season in the prem, a season in the bundesliga, and for a few years at international level, and has several goals to his name...
tom carroll may end up better than him but how can anyone say that he is at this moment in time.
different types of players anyway to be fair
But Dempsey is an attacking midfielder/striker, aint that where he has been playing all season for us?
Let's be honest, right now you have more chances of Asteroids making an impact with Earth as Dempsey would for us in a Spurs shirt.
--------------------- Lloris------------------
--Walker-----Gallas---------Caulker-------Vertonghen
-----------Sandro------------Huddlestone----------------
Lennon------------Bale -------------------------Falque
-------------------Ade---------------------
Without Hudd in the middle we lack any creativity centrally. No point having wingers, playing on the counter, if we cannot supply them with decent quick ball. Hudd can do this.
To Inject some mobility in to the CM position, I'd have Bale in there, free role almost. He HAS to drop back and help out but he has the energy and mobility to do so. He can also get involved throughout, get a run at the Arsenal back 4 which are not that mobile centrally. As Ade drops deep he can get ahead of him. I think he can be a real handful and certainly offer a hell of a lot more than Dempsey.
Watching Utd vs Arsenal Rooney selflessly played this role and basically shut Arteta down and Arsenal struggled to get going. This is what we need from Bale (or whoever plays that position).
Falque wide....well its the only option really. He has maybe deserved a chance and perhaps the occasion would inspire him.
