You obviously haven't read what I've just said about having to start from scratch.

You're obviously too stupid/impatient to understand that it takes time to build a team.

He ain't building one though is he.

Varney 30
Gray 56
Drury 34
Diouf 32
Green 30
Norris 29
Kenny 34

This team needs ripping up.

Get your your fcukugly head out of your a rse and look at the bigger picture

So what is he supposed to do?

Have no players?

A team of kids?

Sometimes you talk sense, but then you become this blinkered meat head.

And Norris is 31, so it's worse than you thought.

The good young players have been tied down, the older players are on shorter contracts, not the opposite as it was before.

McAllister built a team, Grayson destroyed it, Warnock has had to start again.

Then Grayson takes over another team that someone else built so he can carry on perpetuating the myth that he's a decent manager.

If you want Warnock out, then who would replace him?

I called for Freedman and Mackay before Grayson had a chance to leave a mess and was ridiculed for it, but they won't come now.

Welcome back Clive - ur a legend & speak a lot of sense.

You were right about Grayson & are right about NW.

He's made mistakes if course & his biggest mistake was taking this poison chalice of a job.

I mean, how the fook can anyone build an entire promotion winning team on approx £2m & a whole host of broken promises ?

If we want sexy FC Barcelona style football then i would venturevto suggest that any new manager will need a minimum of £500m to spend.

Experienced journeyman have been signed which by large is all we could afford.

Should be enough to survive......just.

Warnock is topping up his pension

Plain and simple

I'd go long term, poyet is the one.

And before someone says he won't come.

Never say never

Would Neil have this team if he was given say 6 million.. No! Bar Austin and Kenny we would see a different team. Starting with no peltier instead we'd have ward etc. give him cash and watch what we do!

LIW - Gray 56 ??? Ha ha ha that's probably true

Gibsy

Wages and transfers, he spent nearly 50m at, took him 7 years to get sheff utd up.

Warnock being this great manager is a totally myth.

Palace have half the wage bill and spent nowt are top.

Why because of a good manager.

You'll never get promoted from this league playing hoof ball

Gibsy - of course ut would be different with proper funds made available - NW always said that he needed the 'icing on the cake' players.

Funny, he never seemed to get them & we all know why.

"McAllister built a team, Grayson destroyed it, Warnock has had to start again."

McAllister signed some good players including Johnson, Kilkenny, Becchio and Snodgrass. Grayson improved the defence and brought in Doyle on loan as well as Gradel to add to that squad to get us over the line in League 1.

Grayson added McCormack and Clayton. Grayson didn't want to lose Beckford or Johnson or Kilkenny or Gradel or Howson, after-all no logical person would. Bates destroyed it and destroyed the attendances with it.

I'm surprised Warnock sold Clayton, but after sending poor signals out that we weren't serious about promotion after selling Snodgrass, he has signed some decent players.

' Grayson improved the defence'

Never thought i would hear anyone say that altho, i guess he did briefly post Macca. However, in the main he didn't have a clue with the backline.

Why are you talking about great managers, LIW?

We're in the Championship, we're not going to get a great manager, we're not going to get great players.

What Warnock is is a proper manager, which is refreshing after three years of a joke manager making farcical decisions.

Warnock doesn't have the players to play good football at the moment. Grayson had the players and made them sit back with his little flappy hand!

posted on 18/11/12

I'm- He improved it for the 3rd tier but obviously couldn't build a successful defence in the Championship. If you look at who we were signing and where from, it probably isn't that surprising. Connolly from Derby, Bessone from Swansea, Collins from Sheff U and Bruce from Ipswich. No excuse for signing Collins for £500k though it was a shocker, at least he was sold in January. AOB, McCartney and Lichaj were other signings for that season.

Then last season O'Dea on loan. Lees promoted to 1st team. Think Grayson wanted to sign Gorkss, so the old problem of funding.

Hoofball it works if u have a good target an up front...Becchio is garbage. You also need fast wingers and strikers to use the space that over the top balls created from the flick on...we have neither! Hall isn't lightning and white has no technique. We need some Sprinters, every top team has a 11-12 second sprinter in their squad ( some faster like Brighton's Lua Lua )we need to build this team around Ross and diouf.

Any Leeds fan will admit we should have kept Grayson. He clearly has an eye for a good player. Maybe with funding, we could have signed who he wanted.

As it stands, Grayson did better with his funds then Warnock has so far.

I am not turning on Warnock. I always wanted him in charge and deserves tge January window to turn it around.

But, he doesn't help himself. He does play the fans eith empty promises. Remember what he said to Clough 'You won't pmay a Warnock side like this again'...

He also said he was only wanting to be here for a year, so it's not a big project.

I must add I also thought it was time for Grayson to go, so I wasn't saying I was against it at the time.

So in other words you're just fickle?

What's happened for you to think we should have kept Grayson?

posted on 18/11/12

Fickle? Why am I fickle?
Grayson didn't exactly have a great budget. But he had some good players, we played attractive football and he had got us promoted and one place outside the playoffs in his first season... On a shoestring.

I took him for granted. A young manager and Yorkshireman.

Warnock, I felt was the right man. Not convinced niw but deserves more time. Worried with his tactics and constant rotation of players. Don't care about how we play but worrying in the Championship we hve given away the most fouls and had the least shots on goal.

Fickle isn't a word I like to be associated with, so drop that one.

posted on 18/11/12

"But he had some good players"

As mentioned though, some of these were signed by McAllister or came through the youth.

"we played attractive football"

The football wasn't great last season though and even in the first Championship season it wasn't consistent. I saw us at home in the 2-2 draw with Watford and we were playing long ball stuff with Gradel and Somma competing against tall centre back's.

If you thought that about Grayson you had no basis for wanting him to go.

I thought he was the worst manager of all time who mismanaged a group of talented players that he inherited, signed players who were worse than the ones we already had, made farcical decisions and drove our best players away.

I'm not suddenly going to turn around and say otherwise just because we're struggling and Huddersfield are doing okay.

The reason we did well is because McAllister laid the foundations, the reason Huddersfield are doing well is because Clark laid the foundations.

It's quite sickening to see someone say they took Grayson for granted when it was obvious that he destroyed a good team and left a mess behind.

But I refuse to get drawn into another argument about that disgusting man, I've done that enough on here over the years.

After Huddersfield lost Peltier and Pilkington the previous summer, they were a pretty standard team coming into the Championship, apart from Rhodes and Hunt. Their star man Rhodes was sold. Yet he has added Dixon, Gerrard, Lynch, Norwood, Clayton, Southern, Hammill, Scannell, Church, Beckford and Vaughan. So for them to be competing at the top end of the Championship currently, i don't think that has much to do with Clark.

Also note the signings he has made at Hudds are far better than the shiite he had to go for last summer for us because of our poor transfer strategy: O'Dea, Vayrynen, Forssell, Pugh and Brown. No comparison really. Bates out!
