I don't think he believes in his shooting ability, the amount of times he is in a cracking position to score but he plays the pass instead

That said I think he has been one of our better players this season and as above he is unplayable on his day.

kanga.. who was asking you ,

Problem is there is nobody breathing down his neck to take his place, he is pretty much guaranteed a starting place.

Another example of our squad not being strong enough.

Lennon is my favourite player but I think we could get another winger to give him a run for his money.

Remy would be £15m wouldnt he? I dont think thatd be bad business and I rate Remy lots

regarding the OP's comment that Lennon is making Walker look worse, I completely disagree with it. I dont think Lennon is making the runs anymore because Walker is not as good a footballer as Corluka was for us when it comes to finding his runs.

Corluka was (along with Lennon) one of my favourite players at Spurs just because of how quality a right back he was. His defence splitting passes to Lennon who was running in behind down the right was a joy to watch.

Since Walker came in, the right hand side doesn't look as formidable as it used to be.

Corluka + Lennon = one of my favourite spurs combinations of recent years

to become a top player he needed to add goals to his game.. he never did that and it doesnt look like he ever will.

I do love Lennon also. I only wish he had more belief in his game and improved in a few areas. I want him to take players on more and try and win penalties. And he doesn't score enough goals for a right winger.

one player who I think is a 'Spurs type of player' and one who I would love to see in a spurs shirt is Ben Arfa.

That chap can play

I think he's been decent this season but i've been waiting the best part of three years to be able to say this.

He has some good attributes, such as; speed...err, oh, and tracking back. Don't think there is too much to his game otherwise. If he was ever to receive a serious injury, lord forbid, which damaged his ability to run fast he would be not much use at all.

I guess I am slightly disapointed with his development considering how long he's held down a starting berth with barely any competition. Personally I think we could do better. My guess is AVB does too, what with his reported interest in Willian.

Persic from Dortmund would be a brilliant player to acquire as he hasn't featured that much this season. He has two German golden boys ahead of him, Reus and Gotze, so can consider himself unlucky in that respect. He earned his move to Dortmund away from Club Brugge after scoring 1 in 2 as a winger. He can head for a small guy, score with both feet, is a bit of a set piece expert and has speed and trickery.

I like the way he runs

Seriously though, he's consistently one of our better players.. he always puts in a shift tracking back and keeps the opposition full back in his half. Walker has been poor, I wouldn't put that on Lennon.

Lennon upped his game big time when Bentley first came in but since he lost that competition he went back to his normal self, he needs that bit of competition to get him going again.

I would love to know what names and how many names are on a managers wishlist when transfer windows open?

I really wonder how wide AVB's scouting net is in comparison to Harry for example.

wish we could sign some more top players

I agree he needs competition. I think as well the emergence of Bale has lessened the contribution from Lennon, as a lot of the attacking play goes left towards Bale.

I have no idea about AVB's scouting credentials. He could afford anybody he wanted whilst at Chelsea. Whilst at Porto i don't think he brought players like Falcao & Hulk to the club - may be wrong.

Harry's scouting network at times seemed to consist of England's 98' world cup squad sheet

Maybe we could try bidding for Walcott?

Wenger has just come out to say he won't be sold so I guess this means he will.

posted on 19/11/12

if rumours are to be believed we could never afford Walcott's wages.. him and Bale on the wings would be deadly though.

posted on 19/11/12

i cant believe im gonna say this... but I think walcott is a consistenly better player than Bale... Bale has the medias backing behind him wheras walcott doesnt...
