I don't think he's overrated just bogged up by the English media, tbf to the lad he's only 19 and when Barca played Arsenal he kept Barca pretty quiet and not many people can do that!!

Wilshire is not overated by many, only Arsenal supporters, deep down, most of them know the truth.

I totally disagree. He is obviously gonna be overrated as he is English, but he is such a talented footballer. He isn't like a Gerrard or Lampard who you look for assists and goals, but more like a Paul Scholes type of player. He is there to conrtol the play, and form defense to attack with his link up play.

We never gave Scholes the chance at international level, which is a big mistake. Players like Xavi, Alonso, Scholes, Wilshire are important at international level at holding the ball. Wilshire is so different to the type of player we have had in the past.

Jack Wilshire is a fantastic footballer - cant believe some of the stuff i read on here

he is a technical player...much like xavi and inesta (and has the potential to be as good)

he makes room for himself in the tightest of areas and always looks like he has 10 mins to decide what to do with it - for me a sign of true quality

wilshere is the first player in england to show the same technique that people always rave about when talking about the foreign sides. he is the only player in england that has the technical ability to fit into a barcelona type side. whether he is barcelona quality is yet to be clear but the point is that he has the tecnical capability to fit in abroad.

He is quite overrated to the point I'm underwhelmed with his performances on the pitch. And his tackling is rubbish.

when pep gaudiola was asked about his opinion on wilshere, he said he has 20 wilsheres in his B team! so how would he be able to get in the barrce side?
